yeah its BB, but its also expensive.....the only reason why i started to consider the turbo upgrade is that im buying matt's (limited projects) turbo for a reasonable price...........if i was going to actually spend 2000 on a turbo, without a doubt i'd just go rotated........with p&L's kit

I was originally going to go with the GT52 but got a good offer on the ATP unit. If you can go rotated though I say do it.
i'm awaiting your results........maybe i'll go with the atp? how much is it anyway?

really? so basically its a garrett turbo?

Yeah, I didn't know you were buying it second hand. In that case do what you works for you. I'm just really fond on what ATP has came up with for stock mount style turbos. Especially when they're using as much Garrett parts as possible. I'm using their oil feed, drain, and water fittings on my setup and they are working great.

it seems like jorge really wants you to buy the gt30r. If you can swing it, do it. For me, all the supporting mods I would have to do aren't worth the nominal benefits. That's just me... and I'm cheap.

On top.

After I noticed the play in the first rear I assembled, I stuck the tophat on the other with no springs and tightened the nut down to the point where my strap wrench was slipping. The play was still present. Still, a quick fix.

I think it lists for $1899. Like I said though, my buddy gave it to me for cheaper than the GT52 with a buy back option if I am not satisfied so I figured why not try it?

i like the ATP turbo alot in theory! just for me inorder for me to buy it, it has to have a extensive proven track record of working, or record of documented testing........and for 1899, i'd rather go for the gt52 which i can get for roughly 500 less........and thats proven.....

Jorge, was making all of his points to say the 30r is better in every aspect......like you, i like the factory fit and finish type of deal......with no billion pipes and silicone couplers......i figured for 1300-1400 bucks for the turbo, add 850's for 349(with core swap), and a samco/aps inlet you'd be set to make roughly 380 on 93 and 400 for roughly 2g's. vs. 3500 for the 30r and jorge says that everything might not be compatible...(TMIC, Exhaust ect) anyways i do value jorges oppinion highly, it just annoys me that he is pushing the 30r, because its thier kit.....

Just curious, but are the washers you are putting on there in addition to the washer that is already there, stock?

When I installed mine last week, my Group-N's came with a washer that goes in the same place that it sounds like you are adding extra washers.
