Brake horsepower (bhp) is the measure of an engine's horsepower without the loss in power caused by the gearbox, generator, differential, water pump, and other auxiliary components. Thus the prefix "brake" refers to where the power is measured: at the engine's output shaft, as on an engine dynamometer. The actual horsepower delivered to the driving wheels is less. An engine would have to be retested to obtain a rating in another system. The term "brake" refers to the original use of a band brake to measure torque during the test (which is multiplied by the engine RPM and a scaling constant to give horsepower).

Default Re: MK'S Limited *Updated 11/25 New Parts For Upcomming Tune*

Alright Everyone, haven't updated the journal in a month so i figured i should let everyone know what i've been up to. I have a tune with Jorge @ P&L Motorsports comming up at the begining of next week and i started to compile all the parts for my up-comming tune.

Here are the parts i've ordered:
-APS 70mm Cold Air Intake
-APS DR375 Big TMIC For D.B.W.
-APS TMIC BOV
-Prodrive Boost Control Selenoid
-Samco/TIC STI Hose and T-Bolt clamp kit

I have already recieved the APS 70mm intake and Prodrive boost control selenoid, but im still awaiting the rest of the parts. I also still have to order a pair of 5 gallon fuel jugs to hold my 100 octane for my 100 octane tune.

Over this thanksgiving break i worked on the house and i finally installed my tire racks from Tire Rack. so, i guess you can say i did some house modding. i'll have pictures of the parts and tire racks tomowrow!

what you guys think?

MK
