actually both me and my dad went into the dealership looking for a 6spd, because we said why would we want a gay automatic on a sportscar, so we drove a 6spd to a tip back to back, and honestly the 6spd even with the porsche short shift kit really sucks.......the clutch is slightly firm for 2inches then it goes to mush with no feel, and the shifter's throw is huge.......the shifter doesnt even engage its like driving a big rig with a 3 ft tall shifter....also the gears on the 997 are super long so you can go 70 in 2nd so you would never get into 6 unless your breaking the 175 mark.....the tiptronic is amazing......it shifts super quick and with only 5 gears instead of six the car is actualy faster.....0-60 in 3.4 in the tip vs 0-60 in 3.9 with the 6 spd....

and yes fullerben the father does let me drive it, but its his baby......

and can anybody say no lag.....holy $hit it pulls at every speed!

That is such a ridiculously nice car. Hopefully you get a little seat time in that bad boy.

What are the specs on it?

It's 480 crank isn't it? B/c 480 whp would be like 520-530 hp.

the funny thing is that a turboback exhaust system for the 997 is anywhere from$3,500 to $5,000, but it adds major Hp.....anywhere from 50 to 100 hp
