Still haven't gotten around to it. I've been super busy and finally found some time to work on the car this weekend. I might be able to look at it sometime tomorrow afternoon.

Default Re: AMG Destroyer: JDM tails and debadge

Today I debadged the "Subaru" on my trunk lid, did the JDM taillight mod, and took an exhaust video.
Here are some pics of the process for the debadge (thanks Crookid for the How-to):

I can't believe how much cleaner the car looks now. There is still a faint outline of the letters on the paint in certain lights. But the PC 7424 that I ordered today should take care of that

I will snap some more pics of the JDM tails that I "think" I did correctly today.

I will have an exhaust vid posted on page 1 shortly, as I am having some problems getting it uploaded.

Regarding some mods that are in my future, I am getting some 245/40/17 RE01R's installed in a couple weeks, hoping to get the BC racing coilovers soon, along with the TiC Super Shifter Set, and an alcantara wrapped steering wheel (stock wheel). I am also toying with the idea of clearing my headlights and ordering Lightwerkz angel eyes and installing them myself. I'm still afraid to pop the headlights in the oven though .

That's it for now folks

Yea, I just want to make the car look as good as possible inside and out before I start going onto power mods because I am very satisfied with the power output for right now.

I talked to Lightwerkz via PM, and the angel eyes don't seem too tough to do, so I think I'll order those soon as well but won't get around to installing them for a month or so.

Just a small update to the good old journal:
I just got home from American Tire where my brand new Bridgestone Potenza 245/40/17 REO1R's were installed. This is on the stock '05 wheels.
My initial impressions are very good. The ride quality is much better than the RE070's. There is obviously more contact with the road now, so the handling should be better. I didn't really have a chance to take any super fast turns - that should come tomorrow . I'll take some pics tomorrow as well.

Thanks man. I did a bit of spirited driving today in the local canyon and I have only good things to say. All around better tire than the 070's IMHO.

I also ordered the TiC SSS today for Christmas. I plan on getting a WC Lathe Works shift knob too when TiC gets them back in stock. I also started this: Mods to do with TiC SSS thread today because I was wondering what other mods I should get (drivetrain wise). I don't want to jack up the car for every little mod, so I figured it would be better to get a few and do them all at once.
