Which hangers should I get and from where? I've been looking, and all I can find is Kartboy standard (is this the one?) and Kartboy extended (obviously not the right one). I've also seen Cusco 12mm, 15mm, and cobb hangers. Which one is the best for my application?

I have the Cobb short hangers with the APS 3.5" and I love them! I got them from Hotsubaru.com

Ok, quick update:

Got the car back yesterday afternoon from the dealer. Everything on it is okay - it will never be 100%, but it's as close as possible.

The trunk was off alignment, but they adjusted it a little, so it is a lot better now. I might try to tweak it a little more sometime though.

Also going to the Streets of Willow next Friday with my buddy. I will post videos for sure.

Everybody calm down. I am taking control here, I will force AMG to paint his wheels gold very soon. Order. Shall. Be. Restored.

Default Re: AMG Destroyer: New goodies!

UPDATE: Today M3Jedi and I installed the Jazzy Engineering Ipod Integration kit. After a couple small setbacks, the end result was a lot better than I expected. The cable is hidden, and the sound quality is second to none. It is by far the clearest ipod kit that I've heard in person...

Then I did a "custom" install of a Broadway Convex rearview mirror. Sooo much better than stock. Then I swapped out my Sparco seat for the stock one, as the base is a little bent from my accident (will replace soon).

Also picked up some rallyarmor mudflaps (thanks WESTI ). And tried to install the Whiteline subframe lock bots, but was unable to break them loose (PB blaster overnight ftw!) and will do both of those tomorrow.

car looks good.

i have the short hangers, and with my g200 it sits very close haha, but the g200 is huge.

the hangers are a PITA to get off.

but, your car looks great, good luck!

First, thanks for the compliment.

Second, would you mind posting a link for the short hangers? I have only been able to find standard length or extended length... Maybe I'm just not looking in the right places or something

No worries.. I didnt have a chance to install them because of one clip that I couldnt get out, plus it was getting late. I'll let you know if I need the screwdriver, although I think I have one. Thanks again for a great deal...

So this morning I got the Whiteline Subframe lock bolts installed. The install was straightforward and took around half an hour. My initial impressions are that the kit does tighten up the rear of the car a lott. It also feels as though the car responds to my steering input more actively. Also washed off my mudflaps and will install those soon

Default Re: AMG Destroyer: JDM Sidemarkers???

I was planning on ordering the red hazard button and JDM sidemarkers today. But now I'm having second thoughts on the sidemarkers.... How do you guys think they would look on my car? Waste of money or good mod? Give me your input..

cut your fenders? no thanks! you WONT be able to install the sidemarkers yourself. They might look nifty but definately not worth the money for them and then the money to install them. Just stick with the red hazard button

Default Re: AMG Destroyer: couple small additions

Small update (4/27/08): Installed a few new things, and cleaned up an old install.

First I picked up a new aluminum Greddy Radiator Shroud from WESTI.

Then I cleaned up my Jazzy Enineering Ipod kit. I routed it under the center console under the armrest.

Also got a JDM red hazard button. Cleans up the interior a lot IMO. Why Subaru didn't make this standard is beyond me... My old one is now for sale. I prefer local deals, but feel free PM me with offers

Also on order is a Buddy Club base/slider/side mount kit for my Sparco seat. If it works as they claim, now I will have a slider . The Tomiko (sp?) low ramps from RCE should be coming any day as well.

Default Re: AMG's Journal: new updates

Figured I'd update this thread since it's been a while.

Finally got my old Sparco Evo seat back in with the Buddy Club base/slider/side mount combo. Really neat set-up. I have it on the highest setting and it is LOW. I absolutely love it. The slop that is normally associated with sliders is not apparent to me with this. Also got a driver side Takata harness. It is secured at four points with eye bolts. I plan on adding a 5th and 6th point when I get a chance as well.

^^ just to give a reference of how low it really is

Got some Kartboy exhaust hangers and a Beatrush underpanel from CVR (great guys). I'll be putting on the underpanel tomorrow.

^^stock vs. beatrush

Also installed my AndrewSS camera mount a while ago, but have yet to test it out.

The other parts that I've had laying around for a while are going on very soon, as school is over for this year. I'm going out of town for USA Swimming Olympic Trials on Wednesday for 13 days (woot!). After that, it's just my scooby and me

Expect an update tomorrow after the underpanel is installed

-AMG
