you do know that alcohol has a lower latent heat capacity then water and therefore is less efficient at removing heat.....

EDIT: forgot one of those guys.

well in the trunk its not going to evaporate much if at all... plus the near instant evaporation helps with heat dissipation on the intercooler IIRC.

it's good to keep the water from freezing.

but it is dissipates less heat then if you were using straight water.

He's saying the alcy can "hold" less heat than water, so when it evaporates, it is actually cooling less...

Very nice and clean car, cool garage and house! Very jealous, you seem pretty young to have such a nice car and a nice house and location.

ok so i just got back in from checking the speakers.. they appear to be stock contrary to how they sound lol...

anyway heres a little walkthru on how to pull them off.. there are slight variations because i only did one but its pretty much the same all around

ok so heres the door panel normally:

there are 2 screws covered with small black covers

and

you can pop those out easily with a flathead

then unscrew the phillips

you are then ready to pull things apart.... pull up on the button panel and itll just pop out... and then pull out on trim ring around the tweeter...it will also pop out... you then want to work ur hand in somewhere on the edge of the door... i usually start on the bottom... and then start pulling out on the door... the clips will pop and you will be ready to lift the door off the top edge...

you then need to take out whatever clips are attached to the panel... they can be a PITA

set the panel aside and check out the door, some clips may hae popped out of the panel.. just work them out of the door and then slide them back into the panel.

to get them back on, reverse this process... i did this, but ran into an issue... the cup behind the door handle had popped out of the door, there are 3 clips on the back of it that slide into the door... i found this out because i had everything back together and the tweeter trim peice wouldnt sit flush...anyway from pounding on it i bent the metal slightly ... so i took a set of plyers and bent it back... and then it slid right into place.. and everything was cool...

heres the clips..

and here was the result of this.... what appear to be stock speakers..

Hmm, so you pulled your door skins off to check if your speakers are stock?

I didn't know there was such a thing... I know there was the optional sub, but that's it.

I bought mine off the lot new.
