yea. In my opinion SCCA has some useless rules. They actually have penalty points which bump you up a class, when you change aero parts, like removing or changin the wing, or bumper or lip spoiler. Like they are actually gonna help when your going 40 mph.

you sure you're not thinking of NASA?

SCCA isn't points based.

and you'd be amazed how much a quality front bumper/splitter and quality functional rear spoiler will do. (when you're actually a fast driver ).

and the rules are for a national level, where 10/15lbs actually matters, and people win/lose by .001 seconds over two courses!

their rules are constantly evolving so paying attention and being active is key to get rules either passed or blocked.

they wanted to move EVOs and STI's to ASP earlier this year like we've got a chance against Z06s haha. (well some BSP national guys do but that's beside the point ahhahaa).

Besides stating my liking of your stellar write up/pics,
1 thing [you have] that will always stand out in the world of the STi is
05 CGM.one year has it ,it is indeed the 1 of 2 color options that the stock bbs silvers look as if they were made for exclusively.

If in theory that mod does really allow a more substantial amount of airflow, then that is what is throwing off your low load fuel trims.

His LTFT was basically fluctuating between around +7 or so, with STFT all OVER the place. When you have a learned correction that high.... at WOT, you will run pig rich.
So if you ASSUME his tune was ok prior, the airbox mod is definately bringing in more air. If the tune was this way all along..... well... either way I think he could benefit from a tweak to his MAF scaling.

Chaos' log...

Default Re: Chaos's 05 STi: Finally got it back.

ok so as some of you know, i had a string of bad luck lately with the car. My windshield was destroyed and the car got butt****ed by hail. Long story shorter, i finally got the thing back after 2 weeks of it being at the body shop. Im glad to have it back for sure. I had forgotten how loud, tight, and fast it was. lol.

The body shop removed 29 half dollar sized dent from my hood, 16 half dollar sized dents from the roof and about 10 other dents scattered around the car. The also detailed it (sorta) which is cool. I still think im going to redetail it so i know what the car has on it.

They did kind of a half assed job of detailing too.. like they only cut/glazed/waxed the panels that got PDR'd... i mean i understand why they did it but i mean come on ****ing do the entire car... and i highly doubt they clay barred it first, which sucks. whatever tho, i got my ****ing car back.
