I figured I'd post your new pictures before I update my journal... made you wait long enough

I did the best I could with the shots considering we took them at noon (bright sun). Gotta work with what we've got though!

I think some of them came out well though.

I liked the next two, I think they really show off your wheels and tires

And this one shows how the wheels "bubble" out compared to stock:

There, now that I have borked your journal by making it very slow to load, my work here is done.

More pictures starring the OBP 05 FTW can be found in me journal shortly.

I need Prodrive RB320s. For how my car will sit, look at the RB320.

The journal deserves a bump because I've added a mod. Thanks to fullerton's lust for Ohlins, he sold me a never-installed CarLabs X-Brace for an excellent price (and is an awesome guy to deal with, BTW - smoth transaction).

Since certain people <Nan>will harp at me for pics, I took a few. This is a very detailed write up.

First:

Hmmmm. What's in t3h box, Boony? The keen-eyed folks will spot a set of Gearwrenches. I bought them at Lowe's. They were handy, but not a necessaity. For other mods, I can imagine they'll be invaluable.

Then the most important steps followed... HOLY ****! IS THAT THE GHOST OF THE LATE JERRY ORBACH, STAR OF STAGE AND SCREEN???

Oh, no. It's just a picture I found on google. Silly Boony. While you were , I finished the install. See?

And one from the front:

Hardest part? I'm a total moron and can't follow directions. I borked one of the bolts that goes on the bottom near the seat, so I used one of the stockers.

What did I learn? That I'm going to have to take it out when I swap struts for coilovers or whatever. Thank goodness Nan will be there to laugh at me.

Driving impressions: I took it around the block. The car is much quieter in that the rattles and such that usually get transferred to the cabin are being funneled into the dampers where they belong. I only went around two corners. The rear end does feel more planted (I made certain to do a few such turns on the way home as a benchmark). That feeling of the rear tires floating then gaining grip again... that stutter... is gone.

I'll let you know what changes, if anything, in track performance.

The biggest thing I noticed was the feeling during turning at low speeds.

Did you do the jack comparison.

GearRatchets are FTW, I'm indifferent about GearWrenches (I bought the craftsman ones since they were on sale, remember? We hardly used them).

Boony's first real mod, w00t!

While you're distracted taking out your rear seats, I'll be busy stealing your x-brace, coilovers, and wheels. kthx. No wait, I'll be stealing Ben's Flags, so just your x-brace and wheels. kthx.

That'd take one Hell of a long distraction. It doesn't come out of the car quickly. I forgot to put the seat braces back in, so in the next few days, I need to get back in and fix the install.

Can you even get those braces in with the x-brace in place?

I has a spoiler.

Only concern was this little bit on the driver's side riser's leading edge:

However, after consulting someone who knows CF better than I do (this is my first CF piece) we're pretty sure it's okay. It doesn't feel as though the integrity of the CF is compromised at all. Just the finish is a little iffy.

Will be turing it over to a paint shop tomorrow. Not yet sure which one. Suggestions in SE Michigan are welcome.

That IWSTI hat isn't hiding any other blemishes from our eyes, is it?

That straw/reed mat is very Asian Called a "pai" (pronounced "pie") in South India.
