So your going with springs... sweet! I won't be in RI to see it until next semester though.

DIY install, 400 is outrageous imo.... your going to pay more for labor than the actual spring.... at say $80 an hour for labor, thats 5 hrs labor.... from the DIY and such i have seen, if it takes you 5 hrs to do springs you musta stopped to get a six pack, drink said six pack, then continue install standing on your head..... of course since i havent installed springs myself (yet) i could be making a dumbass observation

You're pretty dead on. It takes very little time. Especially since your car is so new Szumita. My bugeye needed to have a torch taken to the lower strut bolts because they were being stubborn, but other than that, it was easy as hell. Some rent the spring compressors from an AutoZone. My dad had a set, but I held them down good enough.

Seriously, take your time and DIY. Don't even think of it as a 4, 5 or 6 hr. job, plan for a full day and get a couple of guys to help. Something will get stuck, break, get installed wrong but take your time and it will get done for little more than a few pizzas. Get all the torque specs, breaker bar and a spring compressor + basic tools and you'll end up with a great feeling of accomplishment. Good luck to you and make sure to seat the springs correctly!

Come to RI and check local prices...I am sure you will then agree to pay the $400.00.

I did mine on "this friends" lift with air tools on a car with 600 miles and it took just about an hour a side with the help of him...

It is a 5 hour job doing it alone...I am not defending anyone but labor is very expensive in the RI/MA area and there are also many hacks out here getting $100+ an hour.

Jesse, I will help you install the springs if you like but we will need to rent a spring compressor or use my friends.

Yeah DIY it dude, and with that extra money you could spend that on some RCE lowering camber plates it will give you the right stance and added camber if you want. I have that setup and i love the look and the way it handles.

hah i did it myself for my first/previous car and it wasnt too bad really (had like 4 extra guys hanging around so there was plenty of help but there was some messing around also-lol)...tho it can get really dangerous from what i keep hearing so we made sure to take it serious when it came time to using those spring compressors (2 of em already had knowledge of using them b4)...i have a set if you need jesse and if you want to wait till yous guys come down to visit jersey, we can use my pops shop with the lift also
