my new project!

im going to test out the HKS SSQV. due to 94% of people hating blow-off valves, im taking matters into my own hands and testing it out on my setup. i currently have an aps 50/50, it makes minimal noise over stock until you go wot, and it is slightly louder.

i'm guessing i will LIKE the ssqv. i <3 noise.

i will post up my findings on driveability vs the stock bpv. we will see how bad it really is, i have to try it for myself..

If your going to run it venting to the atmosphere, prepare for flames and random backfires (sounds like a gunshot)

haha nice! go for it...i love the noise too so this should be interesting...or try a recirculation valve so there is no performance loss...post a before and after clip if you have a chance

ive done a real big backfire ONCE, it was wot in 1st. it scared my passenger hahaha. i cant wait to see it.

I really don't see why a VTA blowoff valve is so bad, I agree its not something that has to be upgraded on our cars until the boost is raised pretty high. The only thing is the car will run rich when the air is vented off, thus flames and backfire (in some cases stalling and bogging). So it would make your tune a little rich only when its venting and the MAF doesn't like that. I had no driveability problems when I had mines installed for a couple miles, no stalling or bogging; Just a lot of flames and backfires

and extra attention from ricers.

Which is why I chose to remove my SSQV.

yeah, i dont mind flames or backfiring whatsoever haha. but if i stall, off it goes. but i dont see it happening.

Yea I really doubt your car is going to stall with the BOV. Wait until u hear the "nuclear bird call" for the first time.

is the aps recirculating one actually louder than the stock one?? (cause if so i'll buy that from you if you end up liking the hks better)...lmk if u need help wit the install or something and i'll bring my camera
