Default Re: SlyguySTI: also installed the perrin MCB

i stopped being lazy and i made the fuel line bracket and the battery power wire bracket work with the perrin master cylinder brace. i just took a hammer and smashed down the sides so that the brackets would be flush and just added some washers to the side bolt to make it even. took me all of twenty minutes to do, minus jacking up the car and getting the nut on the bolt for the back side...

and here are some installed pics of the Perrin MCB:

well a little after christmas update:

got a new radar detector, the new Cobra XRS R9G, with wireless remote, its pretty cool and it detects everything, even the cameras on top of stop lights and all that, because it has a gps locater in it and tells me my location in lat and long, and tells cardinal direction.. and i plan on getting some springs and new tires soon, the stock RE070's are almost bald with about 18k on them and its winter time now, ive already spun out in the snow without even hitting the gas.....yikes

Dude, I love the pin striping, is that a kit you bought somewhere and installed or is a diy that you made up? Also, what head unit is that you have in your car?

The best of both worlds huh? EVO & STI, marvelous! Damn you know how to detail, how long did that take you, cause for me it's an all day affair?

P.S. don't sneak, it will only open up a can of mis-trust. Tit for tat, you did so why can't I...

Default new stuff comin up

the detailing usually only takes about 4 to 5 hours, with the claybar and three step meguiars wax system, and cleaning the interior too..

no i just went to an autoparts store and bought regular pinstriping in red, and just took the grill pieces out and took them apart and ran the pinstriping across them, i think they turned out pretty good too, i have had the striping on for about 8 months now and no problems either..

I know my journal has been quite boring since i started it a while back, but thats just due to lack of funds and a wife saying she doesnt want me to spend any money on a piece of metal but now i just purchased a bunch of parts and revamped my original post, and hope to start getting some more interest on my journal here very soon..I feel like a school girl again.....LOL cant wait till the new parts show up.....

That's a mighty fine job with the pinstriping - absolutely love it and it's a great idea!
