Default Re: Installed some New Sways!!! Pics to Come!!!

well just another quick update. Told the wife i was going into work for a couple of hours and did my sway bar install whiteline 24mm adj front and 24mm adj rear.. Overall it was pretty easy, i think i should have gone for kartboy endlinks instead of the agency power ones because they are not straight up and down after i took the car off the lift and tightened everything down. The front sway bar was kind of a pain to take out but that might also be due to the fact i didnt drop the whole C-shaped frame and just the middle piece, and also took off the passenger side wheel. I took it for a quick test drive and it seems pretty good maybe i should figure out which settings are the stiff settings and redo it, but its such a pain to tighten down those bolts when the car is not on a lift and i dont have ramps..

Here are some crappy pics i took real quick while it started to rain:

Very nice! I did the same mods a couple of months ago. Love the red endlinks!!! The angle in pic 2 looks a little severe though... Does that spacer need to be there? From the pic it looks like the suspension is loaded and removing that spacer on the bottom might line up the endlink better. Not sure...

I love mine. Night and day difference. The fiancee even noticed that it felt flatter in the corners. The only downside is that it oversteers now and I need to figure out how I am going to adress it.

im always looking for help..LOL and ya i saw that endlink like that also but i tried it without it and it is flush against the mounting point making unable to move like its supposed to. Maybe ill just get some smaller spacers, its wierd because thats the ones they came with and they did seem a lil too big and also the damn allen key, what a pain in the you know what to try and tighten that stuff down...

Hey, my kartboy rear endlink are on a bit of a angle aswell. I will take a pic if you need it. I mean that spacer does look a bit big, and my angle is not as much as yours but they dont lie staight up and down..

Take a pic, it'll help. There is a little bit of an angle, but not too much.

sweet. i hear ya. i had the understeer issue with my fwd volvo as my last car. oversteer is better to handle at least i think. but the auto dccd control should be able to adjust much of that issue as well.

Lowes or Home Depot have metal spacers in their hardware aisle. I have gotten a bunch of them there before.

There was an EXCELLENT post in here about what different settings (shocks, sways, pressures) do to over/under steer. I'll have to find it. Spazegun also sent me a couple of good articles. Guess I really need to read em!

Hey, sorry dude I cant find the card for my digi.. I looked at my rears again they are slightly on a angle not even really, very slight.. I would go to smaller spacers for sure. I mean those AP are just like my kartboys why do you have to use the spacers I didnt have to use any spacers? I can see that the fronts need the spacer but the rears look like they dont need them at all..

dont know? they seem like the endlinks would be up against the side of the swaybar. It just looks like it will rub and also they started to clunk a little bit when hitting medium size bumps too.. ill have to look at it soon.
