well i just picked myself up a lil gift.. Canon Rebel XT.. I know its not the best model but im a beginner and want to learn to get better. Hey they say its the guy holding the camera and the lenses that make the picture look good.. i think the digital rebel is a good place to start... what do you guys and girls think??

Lookin forward to your pics now i just picked up Nikon's version of the starter (d40) a couple weeks back.... its so much better than the point n shoot.

yea im more of a nikon guy and i have the d80. Never really liked the cannon but my work has the rebel xti and i use it pretty much every day so........ ya. like the pics though!

I wanted to get the d80 instead of the D40 but i really couldn't pull any more $$ outta the mod fund since i thought RCE was releasing their sways, which were delayed another month Oh well, i like the d40 alot

u should check out the nikon 18-200mm VR lens. By far the best 750 bucks ive ever spent!

ya i just liked the feel of the canon better... i guess they are both entry level and the lenses really make the diff. anyway. so i will hopefully get some new pics up soon..

that nikon lens is one of the best nikon ones but yea i think theres a cannon equivalent thats supposed to be the end all be all of cannon lenses. Im sure someone in the photography area could tell u which one

i need to learn how to take good pictures first... im not even sure what all the settings are on this camera... ive been reading the book but im confused.. i guess ill figure it out..

i took about 50 pics tonight and i havent put them on the comp yet but i hope they came out ok.. i also have adobe photoshop cs3.. so maybe that will help a lil bit too..
