Default deek's potential disease...

alright i've got a long story but i'll give the short end for now. was a honda guy, i'm done building those things just for them to get stolen or wrecked by 78 year old ladies that aren't paying attention. i really wanted the limited STI, but then realized that i jumped to the suby bandwagon a bit late to pick one of those up for less than 39k out the door... i only found a few up in montana based on subaru's search.

anyways, so i'm goin for the regular STI... i'll just get a CF trunk to rid myself of the bookshelf you fellas n' ladies have hangin out on your trunk lid. but along with that comes a hood and a front lip... just so its spread evenly. and probably a CF limited mock spoiler..... and... and... and...... i hope i can leave the itch unscratched for a while.

anyways, i'm lookin to see if my offer for $35000 out the door is fair... with the following factory stuff;
fog lamp kit
sub/amp
turbo boost gauge
satellite tuner
security shock sensor

what do you all think? i look forward to hearing input and meeting some members of the new community i'm hoping to become a bigger part of.

EDIT: i ask this because i read on here somewhere that some lucky mofo got one for 32,700 out the door.... man, you got a deal, cause i can't find anyone to go below sticker.

if your patient, you can get out the door for well below sticker. I was offered a new 06 for 31,900...loaded. I ended up going with a used 05 and saving some $$$ though - tuition, unfortunately, has to come first.

Good luck. Set a price, and don't budge. Let them know that you have the cash ready, and you just need to sign the papers. Enjoy!

well you see, my price was $34000 out the door with all sorts of stuff; fog lights, sub/amp, armrest extension, turbo gauge, security shock sensor, dimm/compass mirror, and intake... but i went up with my price, and down with the list of mods based on what local dealers were asking. i can do the mirror and arm rest installation myself so i can pick those up from a parts department at my local dealer at a later time. also, i don't mind traveling, so i will check into other states, we'll see where it goes.

that's good info to have... all i really need is them to sell me a car, i will have any issues or warrantied items handled locally. i didn't leave my local dealership in a huff, just told them that we weren't going to come to any agreements and parted ways.

ok, found a dealer to give me $35k out the door with the following

fog light kit
sub/amp kit
turbo boost gauge
security shock sensor
*gap insurance

providing they have all the parts in stock, which he was sure they did, my car will be ready for me on tuesday. it currently has 9 miles on it... i went tonight and filled out all the paperwork.

in the upcoming months, i plan on doing a limited lip (either OE, or CF replica), CF trunk lid with CF limited replica spoiler, CF OE hood, Mirror/Compass, Armrest Extension.

i've worked with dealers from oregon to texas, following the west coast. in my location it'd be nearly impossible to find one for that price. southern cali's cost of living isn't really ideal.

same here but in the end it is a good buy and he did get what he wants. if youre happy then dont worry about anything else. you should come out to the in-n-out meet off el toro at around 9 every wednesday. im guessing you live in the area since you went to irvine suby.

Comparing OTD price is pointless... it will vary wildly from state to state based on taxes and fees. If you really want feedback we would need to know the actual price of the car, what they are charging you for options, and how much of that OTD is taxes, etc.
