thanks for replies guys... i'm happy with it all, can't wait to drive it. even though i don't live in the immediate area, i will definately come by one of the meets. i fear it'll give me the itch to build the **** outta the car - which i was hoping to avoid for a while.. but i'll still come and check it out.

For what its worth, I paid $30,300 OTD for mine in Chicago, without taxes. Had to pay some $600 or so in taxes here in Wisconsin. No Options, '07 WRB STI with 6 miles on it...

alright so i got the beast home... i'm noticing what seems to be a rattle, maybe an exhaust pipe on a heatshield somewhere, when i'm "idleing" at slow speeds in first or second. i can't tell if its actually a rattle or just transmission noise, but if i give it the slightest amount of gas pedal pressure, it stops. anyone else notice this?

If you don't know by now, I will tell you, and coming from an Acura or other Luxury brands, you will find our cars make alot of weird noises....Just get used to them and if it is major, have another person listen for it, most likely it is nothing at all major...Congrats and NICE White.... Be nice to it during the break in (1000 miles), then you can ROMP on it....

ok got another question here guys, i'm kinda worried... sometimes the turbo kinda surges and on the boost gauge the needle drops down a bunch and flies back up under semi hard acceleration. not beating on it or anything or shifting hard, just spirited acceleration. this isn't normal is it?

Default Re: deek's potential disease...

back from the dead.... i did a search on the surge in the 07's and my car is at the dealership today getting the ECU reflash. i also asked that they do a compression test as well based on what i've been reading regarding this issue. i'll post up with how it behaves after i get it back.

EDIT: well as i clicked post, the dealer service manager called and said that they did the flash but can't do the compression test because the car is operating how it should, and it wouldn't be covered under warranty. something about having to lift the engine to get to the plugs, and it would cost me $270. i'm going to pick it up now though on lunch.
