dont like to correct people but this is how it works gdb is the chassis code for all impreza wrx stis (world wide)gda is wrx, the a-g at the end of gdb people see refers to the model year and or certain changes on the car, a-b are bugeyes, c-e are the peanut eyes, f-g are the current models, so my car is a gdb-f. so i am correct in using gdb, and the jdm part has to do with my love affair oh crazy pointless jdm parts.

don't want to nit pick.

but the first two letters. G and D signify the chassis. the third letter signifies the Motor that is in said chassis. GDA = EJ205 (WRX) GDB = EJ207 (WRX STi) and GDF = EJ257.

you are correct with the applied model codes of A-B = bugeye and C,D,E are peanut eyes and F,G are pig nose.

I really don't have issue with your plate b/c noone besides the retarded analites like myself care to know the difference.

but since GDB is the "universal" chassis code for the STi (even though it isn't 100% accurate) we can let this small infraction slide

I never disagreed with your choice of plate.

not all JDM STi's run the EJ207 anymore

i get angry two times a day, I see two different license plates each day that have GDB as the last three letters. All randomly selected for Florida Gator Alumni plates. WTF!??!?!

it fits.
