Oh noes a polished lip!

They don't look that bad, even though it's not your taste.

Light, strong, right size, and free... sounds good

and my friend has a shop so for the small fee of slapping on a Wales Garage banner for all events he and I align my car often

I was waiting on the following before i corner balanced the new suspension.
1.) scales to become available
2.) find the appropriate rear ride height to keep my fender off the tires
3.) finish school for the semester

finally everything came in align and right in time too, i've got the biggest event of the year coming up in 2 weeks.

winner of the event gets an all expense paid trip to compete in a Prosolo style National Subaru Run Off in Factory prepped 2008 STi's!!

yea, that's acceptable. It just seems like an oxymoron to try to be competative spending money on gigantic tires and what not and not have a corner balance and alignment. So was this whole auto-x season really just a test and tune for you before you came to the important races?

I'm still not the fastest guy out there, unless i've got someone in the passenger seat screaming at me not to be a *****

I've always had an alignment, but never a full corner balance.

the intial cross weight was 48.5% so it wasn't too far off and we only needed to make minor tweaks.

my car is insane right now for autox, i just need to learn to harness it all.

Rankink took my car for a spin and managed to screw up a few times due to the extra power he's not used to and the turn in and he still managed to beat his fastest time of the day.

it's scary, i just need to tigthen the nut between the steering wheel and the seat.

but that all comes with seat time.

should be racing this weekend but I need to prep for the Subaru Challenge.

oh, and i haven't spent very much money in gigantic tires.

so far my 3 sets of race rubber on 3 different set of wheels has totaled $500

and the Zeals i'm running now were traded for my KWs.

17x10 +35mm (we think not 100% sure b/c the original owner just had CCW build them to spec and the # they gave us for backspacing can't be right) 275/40/17

I run a 5mm spacer in the front to clear the inside fenderwell.

the V3s were very streetable, the harshness was similar to Stock with Pinks but they were indeed stiffer.

the Zeals on the other hand are a whole other monster

i can tell you the year and where a quarter was minted if i were drive over it in a parking lot

yeah, i'm still not sure if i'm going to buy these from my friend or not.

he wants to run them on his 07, but he's not sure if he wants to run AS or BSP.

i'm tempted just to pick up some 17x10 +35mm 5zigens, since they are cheap.
