^What makes you think that? It wouldn't be a brand new exhaust looking 40 years old right?
Yeah, I'm spitting and gurgling in between shifts and when slowing down. My buddy was following me yesterday watching little sparks/flames shooting out in between shifts.

Any idea why my tuner would have me running a bit rich? Safety?

From what Jorge told me while he was tuning my car, some tuners cool things off and try to avoid detonation by adding more fuel at higher RPMs. That isn't his methodology, but others apparently do that... My car had (I think) 11.3:1 AFRs at redline, so it's not super lean, and I still get a nice black exhaust after a while too.

What were your AFRs like?

^Hmm, interesting. I didn't bother getting any of my graphs besides the final HP and Tq curves since I was going back in a few weeks for a retune anyway.
What you said makes sense though because it's obviously tuned to run rich.

I guess I'll know my tuner's "style" after we get more into it next tune session.

im running 11.3-11.5 the whole rpm band... and my exhaust isnt that black haha... im also not making near as much power or anything... i would say thats probably closer to 10:1 judging by the amount of crap on the outside of the tip haha.

So it's confirmed - the Limited Project is going under the knife again.

Tuesday the 19th will be the install day, and the 20th will be the tuning session.

Work being done:
1) WBR FMIC removed, APS DR725 installed
2) Perrin turbo inlet removed, APS Turbo inlet installed
3) TGV deletes
4) Perrin Valve and Pump removed, Aquamist Valve and Pump installed.

That will be the end of the power mods on my car. It should net me a good chunk more WHP and WTq getting rid of the final restrictions on the car. I plan on driving my car like this for a while, so I'm *hoping* that my motor can withstand the intensity.

The last 'big' mod will be to replace my clutch when it starts slipping Hopefully that won't be for a while....

anyone ever seen those exhaust sheilds? i think im talking outside of a dream but its like billet steel that goes over the exhaust end, like a semi circle, and extends out the smoke a little bit so it doesnt hit the bumper.

Damn it looks really good with those black head lights. Any sealing issues with them yet?

^Jive, no condensation issues at all. Through gross cold days, hot days, and intense rain on the highway. Dry as a bone

Update 06/18/07:
The big drive begins again today. Edmonton to Squamish (just north of Vancouver)... about 10-12 hours in the car and ~1000 miles.
I'm heading back to www.rocketrally.com so they can get my beast running to the max. Pictures, updates, etc. all as they roll in. The installs start tomorrow morning at 8am.

Cheers.
