I wonder how much the authentic V-limited would cost for the 06/07 now through the dealer, since it's a USDM piece and not JDM. You would *think* it'd be cheaper than it was 04-06.

Honestly, with shipping from BC to NJ, it's not worth it to have it fixed. Plus, you risk breaking it again when shipped from NJ to BC, and I doubt trnkmnky will warranty it

^Yeah, I don't think I'm going to bother with a new OEM lip. I'm pretty sure the V-Limited lips are going to be stupid expensive still. SubieGal has it listed around $450+ (https://www.subarugenuineparts.com/p...oducts_id=1137) So, I'm going to get a CF lip for the spring... I put my deposit down for the RavSpec group buy. It's just a matter of when it'll be produced and shipped out.
Anyone have that lip yet? I thought Lightwerk had it... it looks great, I just don't know how good the fitment is.

Majin, I've got a little meth fund going Should be good to go end of January (when the V2 comes out )

Oh, and I thought I'd spice up my car's ass end by ordering this:
I ordered the Kakumei one from Renick... I did a search and didn't get any hits on that company on IWSTI, so hopefully fitment and quality is good.

Are you going to paint the CF diffuser SWP?

Nope... I guess I'm waking up the beast

I've got a CF licence plate frame, so I think that'll match the "vortex generator" nicely And the front lip when/if I get it... but I am going to give repairing my 3-piece front lip a shot... why not? Can't look any worse than it already is!

Picture this:
A dropped STI w/ V-Limited front lip driving down roads covered in heavy slush where the middles of each lane are actually small mountains loaded with the stuff.

Now picture this:
V-Limited lip in 3 pieces.

Picture my face:

That seriously made me sad. I expected to lose my lip to a steep driveway or something, but not to heavy slush!
I was just minding my own business when the nasty slush fiend snatched my lip and ripped it under the car. The grinding noise was enough to bring tears to my eyes.

Oh well, that's two bad things. They say **** happens in threes What's next!?!?!!

A RavSpec CF front lip will find a new home on my car in the spring.
to a sweet lip
to a waste of money

Sorry to hear about the lip, but seriously I'm suprised you still had it on! I took mine off when the snowies when on, for the fear of the dreaded ice chunks. What was # one thing that went wrong??

Yeah, I'm kicking myself in the ass for not taking it off but we had some weird freakish weather. We don't usually go from huge dumps of snow and -30*C to +3*C... you can imagine how slushy the roads are. So, it totallly took me by surprise. Lesson learned.

Anyway, first thing that went "wrong" was getting scammed by a guy on here (and NASIOC). He sold me used Perrin modified injectors that were isht. He's dropped off the face of the earth ever since I called him on it.

So, another good update.
My Kakumei CF Vortex Generator showed up today. It was a week in shipping from Renick. They, or Kakumei, did a great job packaging the generator, and there wasn't a scratch on it when it showed up.

Install took all of two minutes. I test fitted it first and found that it was a little bit short on both ends. Ideally, it would have been another half inch on both ends to tuck into the black stripping on the roof. Also, the lower end needed to be another half inch with a lip so that it would tuck into the junction of the roof and the rear glass.
After dry-fitting it, it was some 3M double-sided tape, an elf helper on the
other side of the car so it wasn't uneven, and done!

Besides the slight sizing issue, it looks absolutely amazing. My pics aren't the greatest since they were taken at night without a tripod, but I did the best I could for now.

The generator has added a much needed "oomph" to the back end (which looked empty to me without the wing) and has de-sleepered my car somewhat.

I'm quite okay with that

Some uninstalled pics:

Installed pics - a lot of the same isht... but it was hard to get a good one hehe:

That actually looks really good. I'm trying to decide if I want to take away from my sleeper look and get one myself or if I want to just take the plunge.
