Sounds like you just pulled the axle out of the tranny-it should just pop back in.

How will you get the SM4 in and tuned then? Drive it back to BC?

CB
Yeah i was gonna ask the same thing. It may have been transfered over from AP to Ecutek, but wont the car have to go back to RR when the SM4 gets worked out?

^Nope, check out my response a few up. The Autronic pump and race gas maps are done and saved on Pat's computer - the TFE throttle controller issues are totally independent of the tuning itself. It's just annoying and dangerous more than anything.

So, since the SM4 is plug-n-play, once the throttle controller issues get worked out, it'll be good to go.

BTW, the axle did pop out a bit, so with a little tug in the right direction, it popped back in and no more gear oil leak

Damn man, what a headache. It sounds like RR took care of you though so hopefully you will be done soon. I actually sent them an email about their DCCD controller but haven't heard back yet. Can you tell me how exactly it changes the car's behavior in a track situation?

You and I both know that when you start tinkering with ****, **** starts to get weird . Aw well, I *know* it'll be worth it in the end.

Don't be surprised if you have to send them another email before they respond... they're actually way better on the phone since that's one of the only ways to pin them down. The shop is buzzing from morning til night.

Anyway, the DCCD controller is active 100% of the time. Unlike ours where you set it to "Auto" and hope for the best, you can actually see on the dash where the torque split is. From the hole (ie. launching on a strip), and under heavy power, the diff will actively lock up. As you start going faster, it'll open up and direct more torque split to the rear. It uses the ABS sensor, yaw sensor, speed sensor, brake pedal position, throttle position, steering angle... it uses all this and calculates and adjusts at a much higher rate than the factory DCCD controller.

Word on the street is that it consistently knocked 1.3 seconds off per lap on a certain track, during testing. 1.3 seconds is a lot.

Anyway, give Rocket a call and talk to Pat or Onur... they'll be able to explain it much better than I could.

Got a chance to take some updated pics today.

The difference from before to now is some small stuff and one "big stuff" -
1 - KS Tech hood scoop delete
2 - resprayed my FMIC again - looks like new again
3 - New OEM Limited lip
4 - Passenger seat is a Bride now too
5 - Heat shielded a bunch of wires and piping in the engine bay
6 - Finally dialled in my coilovers, the Ohlins Flags. They arrived with every bracket on backwards and the rear clevis' installed upside down. Nice. So, an email or two later and I realized what the problem was and all was well. I spent the evening getting the ride height sorted out. I've got it set a bit higher than normal, especially in the rear. I have plans on running some healthy (ie. wide) rubber so I don't want to deal with rubbing issues.

I took some vids yesterday as well... just need to get them edited and I'll post up a few 1/2/3 pulls .

Thanks man.

So far so good, other than waiting for the SM4 glitches to get sorted so I can get the flash based Ecutek the hell outta there.

Pat's had two firmware updates from Autronic so far, and he said it's close but not 100% yet. So, I'm not sure if that means it's really close or if it'll still be a bit. Hopefully soon so I can confidently tear it up.

You attention to detail is amazing. From the interior to the engine bay, your car is amazing.

Your car just is...perfect! It is so classy, yet will destroy about any car you can throw at it. I don't mean to come on so strong, it is just your car is one of the only cars I could actually see my self daily drive and never think, "you know, I really wish I had (x)" as there is about nothing left.

Thanks man. Totally appreciate the kind words. Yeah, it doesn't leave a lot more to be desired... other than a car from the factory that is as quick. But then we're talking big $$$ lol. Cheers.
