I went off tuner recommendation, what can I say? Oh well, at least now I can say I gave the .82 a shot. 1.06 here I come!

So much for Pat Ricard knowing what he is talking about! LOL! I remember him saying your car basically sucked with the 1.06 on there and look at you now!

Congrats on the marriage, Matt, and good luck!

I experienced it myself, so I completely understand. I'm just busting your chops because you have a good sense of humor.

Now, give me some more details on this DCCD controller.

Hi C!

No need to bag on him, I sincerely believe he was trying to recommend what was best for his customer. Matt has crossed the line and become a horsepower addict.

It's all relative and much of it comes to down to each person. Truthfully, if more people measured their exhaust back pressures they would find out they are in need of a larger exhaust housing, they just have this fixation with "lag" they can't can't around.

I cruise around on 93 octane using a 1.06 exhaust and if you are in the right gear, the car feels like it could literally rip a hole in the pavement when mashing the load pedal.

BTW: Matt, congrats on the significant other!

Thanks Cory! Yeah, Pat does know what he's talking about ... if he was dealing with one of his 'normal' customers. Like Dasani said, I'm a full on HP addict now, so yeah, no lag is too much lag.

All good.

There's two different diff controllers - one has to be wired in and carries an extra map (3) and the other is plug-n-play but carries 2 maps. The plug-n-play is an extra grand simply because of manufacturing, not because you're getting anything different. The p-n-p keeps use of your dash DCCD function and it's always active, so you see the dash "tree" moving up and down depending on what's happening. The wired in one has a bit of a ghetto knob for the three maps (well, it's just not OEM), and the plug-n-play one uses the OEM thumbwheel... but it's a little more vague since there aren't definite clicks to know which map you're in.

Rocket's recommendation was the plug-n-play for a street car, and the wired in for a rally/motorsport car. I went p-n-p.

You should call the guys there - talk to Pat. He'll blow you away with Subie chat .
