Just placed an order for the Whiteline comfort ALK. Suspension should be done for now. As soon as I can get everything installed, going to look into corner-balancing the whole set-up.

Anytime Danny, they go on tomorrow. I just met a guy up in Palmdale that comes down to the Wed. night meet (DumbUglyDragon on NASIOC). I will probably go this Wed. I will shoot you a PM about your buddy's tires. I really need a set. Maybe we can do it Wed. night at the meet. See you then.

Well, the coilovers are on and all I can say is "WOW!" I drove the 60 miles home from work and played with the five different settings and I absolutely love this set up. For what I needed it for it is perfect, my wife drives the car most days due to my mileage and I wanted something easily and quickly adjustable. As far as a daily driving aspect, I could get very used to it, the car has a "sporty glide" to it on the freeway. Better ride than stock if you ask me. I turned them up to "5" and it completely transforms the car. It really is like two different cars. Each setting is noticeable too. The only complaint so far is on the soft "1" setting, you can hear the rear strut assemblies sort of "whoosh" when you hit a bump, but nothing I can't live with. I will be taking the car over tomorrow for a quick alignment to get me through the next couple of weeks before I can get the ALK and steering rack bushings installed. Then I am going to look into a corner-balancing alignment.

Just installed the Static X crank pulley. Got it from Rdrcr (thanks) and acceleration feels great. It just feels like I pulled weight off of the car. Almost effortless acceleration, even down low.

Did you notice any more noise/harshness/vibration from the pulley as opposed to the stock one?

I have only had it on for two days, but no noise or vibration. It is absolutely the same except the car just seems more responsive. It came off of Rdrcr's car and he said it performed flawlessly.

Finally got around to installing my dual catch can set-up using Freddie32001's plumbing kit. Worked out quite well. Fabbed up a mount for both cans and mounted them to the inside of the passenger strut tower.

I think it turned out pretty good and it is about time I slow down with the purchases. I had to make a last minute purchase on tires (had a tire fail and needed to buy all four) so I picked up a set of Bridgestone Potenza S-03's from the TireRack on closeout. Stock sizing, they grip well and I tried them out this weekend on a run with the Santa Clarita guys. Lastly, I updated all of my pic links. That's all for now .

Oh yeah, sold the project car finally,

kind of weird to watch it drive away after 8 years. Oh well, on to bigger and better things .

ALK and steering rack bushings go on on Sat., then it is off to Darin at West End Alignment on Sept. 13th for a performance alignment and corner balance .
