Man, I would have liked to go but after mapquesting Subiefest I was convinced it was out of my range. Anywho, nice pics you got there though!

Awesome car. Great job on the build up. I love the tasteful blend of fashion and function. Black wheels look the best on our CGM's. Keep up the posts to inspire your online buddies!

i'm ordering the RPF-1s in 17x8.5 +40 and used your track gallery as a good gauge on how they would look at different angles. thanks! they are going on my 03 WRX with a full 06 STi drivetrain swap. i will be using these as my daily driven summer wheels.

how is the clearance with them on the inside and outside? what suspension and camber settings are you using? what size tires? fenders rolled? gracias...

Awesome man! The clearance is fine. I rub slightly at the track on the left rear (outside of tire contacts fender). The Cusco Zero2e coilovers run a little softer spring rates than most (8/6) I believe which could account for the slight rub. I know when Ben had his set-up, he had no issues but he was also running Tein Super Streets which are a little stiffer. Here are the specs to help you out:
Ride height: F-13.75" from fender lip to wheel hub/ R-13.5
F camber: -2 deg.
R camber -1.4 deg. ( I would like to see more on both that is all I can get out of the Cusco set-up )
tires: 235/40/17
Fender are not rolled

Hope this helps and I really don't think you will have a problem. The only time it really rubs is when I put into the corners hard at the track. I simply don't have enough camber.

ok so i just measured and my front height is 13.25" from bottom of fender to center of wheel and the rear is 13"... getting the tires put on right now so i'll know later in the afternoon how i'm doing. little nervous here because on the test fit the wheels definitely seem to stick out as far or farther than the fenders...
thanks for the response

Picked up a Cusco engine and Trans. mount set used for a good price and ordered a Beatrush engine pitch rod from GarageSpec (great vendor BTW). Should stiffen everything up nicely . Also picked up a Process West oil cooler kit (from Horhay on here). Will help tremendously with the heat at the summer track days out here in SoCal.

Upgrading the engine mounts on the STI is one of my favorite mods...your Cusco's will be awesome especially since you track your car.

It has been a while but the car and myself had a very eventful weekend. Came across an amazing deal on a ACPT CF driveshaft and went for it. Picked it up yesterday morning and drove straight to my buddy's shop. Had it on in 10 min. and wow! It is everything that people say. It flys through the gears. I put it to good use today to on the big track at Willow Springs. Also picked up a full set of EBC Yellow Stuff brake pads and they worked out great today to. I was on track witht the Crawford car and damn that thing is fast! For those familiar with this track, Turn 8 is a very high speed sweeper. I was at about 115-120 mph in Turn 8. The Crawford car, 142! Front straight away I saw 130. Again, Crawford car, 150+! Very cool group. Last posted time I saw I hit a 1:41:2xx. It felt good for my first time on this track.
