o yeah by the way you should keep the part in that you have in the box .. it helps bring cold air to the air filter .. just to let you know .. there is no reason why you sould have that off .

Ive had the car for about 3 months now, and i just picked up the SPT intake. This is my first mod and turned out great! I installed it myself which was pretty easy, and its really unbelieveable. The turbo sound and the sound of the BPV alone is well worth the money. Here are some pics of it.

Some other people put the snorkle back on, but it was a extremely tight fit, and it was pushing really hard against the heatshield so i decided to not put the snorkle back on. I made a video of the intake in action and it can be found at SPT Intake on a 2006 Subaru STI - Video

and the heatshield doesnt seem to cover a whole lot...
and yea i think the snorkel really helps... i left it on...
