does this intake provide for the same noise that a CAI would bring??

Nice first mod. You may want more cool air directed to the air filter by removing the elbow and intake silencer. That will direct air thru the vent in your fog light cover to the filter....

Edit. Hmmm, actually the '06 directs air to the wheel well from the lower center opening up front not the fog lamp cover....nonetheless....this will work.

PM a mod to delete the jive from the guy who decided to open his journal inside yours!

well im using the snorkle so air still goes through the elbow and onto the intake

oh lol i ran without the snorkle for the first 3 days or so then i put the snorkle back in and it ran better so i kept it in

anyone know off hand if the intake or any intake hurts performance? i know ive heard mixed things on using a k and n cone with stg 2. i know its prob in the horsepower forum but i figure its an intake thread so its not a hijack. more of a detour at gunpoint.

i think my car is a tad faster in the topend with my intake. low end might have lost just a tad of power
