im probably gonna stick with the stock dp just because i live in ca and the cops in my area are real dicks. im just counting the days before i get pulled over for my exhaust. i also wanna keep my warranty and i'm not a fan of swapping parts back to stock whenever i go back to the dealer. also the dealers are not mod friendly. they are constantly looking for a reason to void my warranty. once my warranty goes out i might consider getting a dp and going stage 2

Renick is mod-friendly and near your location. South Coast (from what I've heard is mod-friendly too).

p.s. If you add a DP, then your decibels will triple! (not exaggerating)

i went to renick to get my exhaust done and they made a note of my mods and had me sigh some stupid thing that said it "might" void my warranty or something stupid like taht. the funny thing is ive driven by renick like at least 30 times in the past but i never knew it was a subaru dealership. it has huge cadilack signs everywhere but no subaru signs....... but the parts department is all for subarus........ weird......... i'll have to call and ask about the downpipe issue

wow that sounds really good; especially since you still got the warrenty! I know throwing on the spt exhaust is not as loud as the Carbon Ti, but does putting on a catback(spt) make the sound of the SPT intake louder( ex: sti w/spt exhaust and spt intake)?

the intake might be a little bit louder, but that also might be my imagination

im guessing u mean hardwireing it? well for now i'm just gonna use the supplied "coiled" power cord cuz i plan on taking it out and using it in other cars. In the future, i might consider hardwireing it. Its awsome! detects EVERYTHING

uh.... ya its like REALLY noticeable. but thers nothing i can do now. so i'll just deal with it. it comes with acoiled cord and a straight cord, but the straiht cord is like 3 feet long so its like too short of a cable or way too long.......... i think i'll end up hardwiring it in the end. I HIGHLY recommend Valentine1 to anyone who wants a radar detector. I paid for ups ground and they upgraded me to fedex 2nd day air for no charge! and they actually answer emails and phone calls! GO V1!
