I know from the last time Al was a little upset that he didn't get a chance to coat the headers....looks like he did something about that ![]() Good luck on the numbers, I hope you get the WHP your looking for!! On a side note, anything over 400whp on their dyno is INSANE on the street!!!!! |

IWSTI Addict since: Dec 2004 Trader Rating: (3) | Alright its time for a major update, Rob and al through my car on the dyno this past tuesday, it made 400whp at 25psi, which was a bit of a disapointment to al, we were looking for a number closer to 450whp. My car also just got nitrous oxide, so when sprayed that will add 2 psi, which means the car has to be tuned around 22-23 psi. At that PSI my car would be making way less power than we wanted to see. The car also was cutting out at 100% throttle(this had been an on going problem since i had my interior modified) so it was really causing trouble for Rob while he was trying to tune it. They changed the trottle body, checked wires, we were sure it was an electrical issue. Until last night i was searching this great forum and realised that the issue was a missing RUBBER STOPPER, that goes behind the pedal, to stop the throttle from going to far, and then causing the car to go into "GIMP mode". I called them right away and it fixed the problem..... now to the fun stuff In addition, Al was upset that we had built such a strong motor, and then we were not even pushing the power. SO he approached me suggesting that we move up to the GT35R. This way we can make 450-480whp at 23 psi, and rob will tune it to lower the lag, in addition to the twinscroll. The power estimate now 450-480whp @22-23psi; on 93oct /w MEth. Then when we spray it, we are looking to make anywhere from 580-600whp. The 35r comes in monday, Al is going to adjust my setup to fit the 35R, which wont be a big deal just a few pipe adjustments, and then this thing is going to make some REAL power. The reason we didnt go with the 35r in the begining is becuase neither of us knew that this build was going to grow as large as it has, so now its time to pump it up a bit. In |
