IWSTI Addict since: May 2003 Trader Rating: (0) | Thanks for the nice comments. I have decided that I will continue on the path of handling and braking until I can't find anything left to do before more power mods. Now I am looking at some lighter rotors and a CF driveshaft as my next mods. |

I would still list the quick rack as the best single modification I have done. Everything else I have done (with a few exceptions) gave the desired effect, but was a trade off with some acceptable undesirable effects that I don't mind. For example, more NVH, increased ride stiffness on the street, etc. The only mod I have done that is not in some way a trade off was the rack. There is no downside. Just fast steering and better feedback. I would consider this a must-do along with at least brake upgrades like pads, fluid, and ss lines along with sway bars and perhaps springs or coilovers. Those changes alone with a good alignment and stock tires will result in a car that can handle as well as virtually any other street car around. Last edited by LeiboWRX; 01-26-2008 at 07:34 PM. | |

And thanks again for setting up the ACPT DS group buy. Perfect timing as I plan to start to eliminate as much rotating mass as possible over the next year. I have decided that this path can only add reliability as it improves performance. That is appealing to me rather than diminishing reliability by going for big power as my next step. My rotors are getting thin and after the DS, i will grab some lighter front and rear rotors next. Can't decide between the Performance friction, StopTech, and Girodisc.
