Two weeks ago, I decided to splurge on a G-Tech Competition Pro. It's the old verison of the RR (not the cheap-o SS) which is now being sold, but it has a blue back-lit display instead of the orange one that's only sold now. More awesome is that you can get one for about $160, or half of the retail price of the RR. All you have to do is software flash the Competition Pro to the new firmware (which is the same as the RR). It takes lat. & long. G-Forces, uses the noise from your alternator to get your current engine RPM, and from some math, and an accurate weight measurement of your car (3460lbs at the local rock quarry scale) you can get an estimate of your car's BHP. Also, it can record over an hour and a half of driving (g's & accel/brake data) so you can analyze. If you have access to a skidpad (or a mall parking lot late at night heh) you can measure your max g's before a skid, and then set alarms into the meter. On a track, it'll flash lights to warn you when you're nearing the capabilities of your tires.

In the Drag Racing mode, it does 60ft, 0-60, 1/8th, 1/4th, etc. times and gives you staging lights if you want to practice reaction time yourself. It's awesome and HIGHLY recommended... plus it's blue!

...plus it's blue!

Oh, another interior update... a $40 piece of red plastic, and a little cellphone holder for my SLVR (so I can bluetooth but still see who's calling/texting me), and a mini-air freshener from the same company because the damned new car smell won't go away just yet and makes me nauseous... ROCK!

These 5-led wedge bulbs. I also bought some single led floods for my license plate.

Well, it's done! I've moved down to Alexandria, VA to take that job with the United States Patent & Trademark Office. Here's some pictures of my car in front of my new workplace (click for highres):

Not really a car mod, but car related?

Frames on sale at the local art store: $5 x3
Photo quality 20"x16" prints at Staples: $15 x3
Having hot shots of my car around the place to remind me I'd rather be driving? Priceless x3

I drove around to 3 different print shops before realizing that Staples was the cheapest. Some shop wanted $35+ for EACH print. Hah. BTW, ya berto, that's our cars' pic in the bathroom so people have something to look at while on the throne hah.

Not a bad looking condo/apartment there. Why did you cover up the trees in that print?

Ah! You're right. Upon further inspection, I can see the supports holding up the sign in the shot.
