Today I got my first oil change, and then took the rest of late afternoon to put on my Rallyarmor Mud Flaps... here's how they came out (beautiful!)...

Here are some other pics of the installation (click if you want full-sized):

...btw, in that first pic of the second set, I don't usually keep my wheels that clean... I just was a little anal after the 500 mile trip down to Alexandria this past weekend so I went all out.

That's this weekend... right? I'm going up to Boston for the Wicked Big Meet. Well not really, I was headed up there Sat. night for my brother's concert who goes to MIT anyways, and the Wicked Big Meet is only about 45 mins west so I'm just gonna head up in the morning... and since I'm staying over night for a party, I probably won't be back NJ-side 'till around 6pm or so.

Ya... when you finally do get to putting 'em on, if you need any tips, or want an extra hand (so we can double-jack the front & back and get both sides done at the same time) I'd be more than happy to help!

Wow, it's only been 5 weeks since I got my STi, and I have 2800 miles on it already. That's mostly long trips to Virginia, Pennsylvania, and up to the Wicked Big Meet in Boston though:

...which was a LOT of fun. I even won 3 free dyno runs at KTR Performance in MA (which I'll probably have to sell since they're about 3.5 hours away from me) in the raffle!

But so far my "mods" have stuck to my functional rule, but I think I've cheated with a bunch of decorative accents such as the new decals I'm sporting. It took me a couple of days to track down a dealer which still had the OEM Light Gray SPT stickers (see my other thread here for more info), but I think they look great. Here they are below (Nintendo ftw & click for larger versions):

NJSTi05 suggested I delete the stock STI logos above them, but I like how they go together, I think it too empty stock... comments?

Last but not least, I spent the better part of an hour to learn how to take my '06 headlights off which was a TOTAL pain in the ass. I wasn't even clearing 'em. I just wanted to replace the marker lights with White LED's which give the front a cleaner look, especially when it's marker only without headlights:

I'm LOVING this car, and through the various meets, I'm loving the community even more. Here's hoping the VA-guys will be just as welcoming and awesome as the NJ/NY/CT guys have been so far. And here's to a great first month!

...oh last but not least, here's a short movie of another "cheat", my blue dome light... heh (thanks Berto for letting me rip off your idea).

Just thought of a great joke pic...take a pic standing next to an Evo (or competitor's car), and caption should say "me before the STI"...then flash forward to the pic above with the girls, and caption "me AFTER the STI"...

Nice car, keep up the mods, and all the How TO's...I'm gonna do that screen as well.

BTW, did you at least get any of those chicks' phone #'s? Heh, living vicariously through you...

Unfortunately no > ) ... those weren't even the cute(r) ones. I think the other blonde and the brunette not shown were the most cute (you'd have to dig their pics up off another WBM thread here though).

As for the car? Tomorrow's the SPT Intake & Heatshield, they finally got 'em to my local dealership. So pics & movies (for sound) tomorrow afternoon. It's not an update without a pic, so here's one of NJSTi05 & me at Garden State Plaza last night for fun (as always, click for hi-res):

suck it Trebek! $157+$67... local dealer pricematched cheaper than subarugenuineparts.com! (click images for high-res versions):

here's the rest (same click dealie):

Oh, btw, apparently the Bosal SPT Catback (which I have) + this new Intake/Heat Shield is now giving me +45hp and +24ft/lb torque... I doubt it, but that's what the new brochure says (click-dealie):

Movies (well sound clips) are downloading off the camera right now...

...only because you asked nicely (and posted boobies in that other thread):
Only mods to my car (performance-wise) are the Bosal SPT Catback & now the SPT Intake... so this is the most-stock sound you'll hear without being intake-only. Enjoy! (you need xvid, or divx to view these movies... if you don't have 'em, you'll still be able to hear the sound hopefully)

cool! these are the first installed pics of the spt intake that i've seen. looks great! i like how the heat shield is extended unlike the typhoon. have you given any thoughts of keeping the stock funnel on and modding it to provide more air to the intake?
