Default Partysub's blue 2004 STI **UPDATE 3/1 ACT clutch, steering rack bushings**

I had wanted an STi since i first head they were coming state side. The problem I had was that i didnt have enough money. I figured out that if i sold my bike (Yamaha 600R) and my car (99 Maxima) I could afford a used one. I had just bought a condo so i had almost no money for monthly payments. I needed extra cash every month to pay for the loan. I decided that i will quit smoking (which was costing me about 200 a month), sell my bike and car, and I should be able to afford it. I went to Subaru and told them what i could afford for payments and the salesman laughed at me and told me i should probably think about a different car and i will never own an STi. I ended up finding a used one for sale that the owner had babied. I took it for a test drive and was in love. I bought it the next week and got the payments below what i could afford.

Nice, looks a lot like mine but with stock ride height. Better start getting ready for an Access Port or Ecutek reflash!

The UPS man finally showed up with my package.

I started the copper paint and wrap process. This is the spray i used.

Here it is on the DP

Here it is wrapped and taped off ready for the final spray. I wrapped it dry, it really wasnt that hard except it turned my hands copper.

Here it is sprayed with 3 coats.

The thin straps you see are DEI straps that are a waste of money. They are impossible to get tight enough. I went to Home Depot and got big hose clamps that are stainless steel and can handle high heat. They worked alot better. I am going to install this on sunday and switch to stage 2 about a week after (just to make sure everything is ok). Wish I could do it now but if you work on your car at my condo development you get fined $250!
