Default Traded the Subaru this weekend . . .

After 11 months I got rid of my '05 CGM STi this weekend. Traded in on an '06 Dodge Charger R/T . . . Yeah, it's got a Hemi. As well as factory nav w/ Sirius, heated power seats, bluetooth, leather, rear seat leg room, all of the things that I missed in the STi. Completely different direction I know, really needed the extra room for the family though and they gave me an amazing deal on it and the trade for that matter.

Had the STi been paid off I would have kept it, but I just needed something a little less raucous for day to day use.

The one thing that sucks is going from HIDs back to halogen, I WILL be doing a retrofit.

Anyway, thanks for the community and best of luck to you all.

Rob

Nice car, but I would have gone for the SRT-8. That thing is a beast!

The SRT-8s are nice, most of the local dealerships are marking them up right now though. The deal on this thing was too amazing to not do it anyway, If I decide I want the SRT-8 I can trade it in a year or two when the new Challenger comes out.

I will suffer with you my brother in your loss.

Feel free to pm any time to tell me who "MADE" trade your perfect STi for that American piece of SH*T, so we can all make him feel the same PAIN your feeling.

GodBless, and Be strong!

I wouldn't even consider a test drive until they offer the charger (or any SRT-8, for that matter) with a stick.

Not a bad trade off at all, good luck with the Charger.

Not bad at all. I almost traded mine in a couple weeks ago because the Dodge dealership had a yellow Charger Daytona that was loaded but $40,000 was a little out of the price range. I am just as happy being "stuck" with the STi now .

Congrats on the new car....the family comes first! Personally I have a BIG thing against the new Charger...something about making a GREAT American Classic Muscle car into a.....a....4-DOOR!!!! Honestly they shouldn't have made that into a 4 door...but I mean would you feel the same about a Camaro or Mustang as a 4 door?!? Its a great car, dont' get me wrong, just why make it into a 4 door....I guess they care about their sales more...but again congrats on the car!!

Hate to say it........but poor trade IMO. I personally have something against the new Charger as well, my brother had a 70' RT 440 6 Pack & I had a 70' Road Runner. To make this 4 door family cruiser, throw some stripes & stickers on it & call it a Charger is a HUGE waste of the Charger name. Now, if the Challenger comes thru the way it was in the mags & shows.....that will be worth the trade....a bit heafty, but still very cool.

Eh, the new Charger is similar to the old Charger in spirit... RWD, big-ass V-8 engine. It's a good car for what it is. If you want a two dour coupe, the Challenger is on it's way out soon.
