IWSTI Addict since: Mar 2006 Trader Rating: (7) | here is my 2 week perspective on this car: it handles like a dream. I've been told to beef up the sway bars by a couple people but im very happy with it right now. maybe in the future if I get the mod itch, i'll look into it but for right now its great i love the power it has, but it feels like it tops out at around 5000rpms. I know that is about where the torque ends up peaking and goes back down but maybe im making this out to be more than it is considering my Si peaked at 7800. i ordered an AEM CAI for it, which I don't expect to yield much from, but want the sound more than anything. I'd like to see what I can do to change the powerband settings to make it a progressive increase instead of an early peak. feel free to correct me on this. the minor improvements like the Static X Pully and hood dampers look very intriguing. i'd like to throw some money for a couple aesthetic mods like this...any other benefit besides aesthetics? I'll post some sound clips once I get the AEM installed. |

IWSTI Addict since: Mar 2006 Trader Rating: (7) | honestly, I must be missing something because my DRL's don't ever turn on. my headlights are on all the time: bright, dark, doesn't matter. the little parking switch on the steering column doesn't turn them off when I want the parking lights on by themselves. I have to pull the e-brake if I want the lights to turn off. please tell me im missing something. |

IWSTI Addict since: Mar 2003 Trader Rating: (0) | Hey man, you car looks great. I love Steel Grey Metallic 2006 STi's, my favorite color (aside from WRB/Gold ). I did a little photochop of your car, basically it is what I would like my STi to look like (if and when I get a '06). |

IWSTI Addict since: Mar 2006 Trader Rating: (7) | **UPDATE #1*** I've installed the AEM CAI and love it! spools up nicely but is still somewhat quiet for normal driving. BPV blows off like I expected. The filter sits lower than I expected (right behind fog light housing) so i'll have to be careful again when it floods. tomorrow or wednesday i'll get a vid hosted so you can hear its sound. Here are the pics: ![]() ![]() And here are a couple night shots from the other day: ![]() ![]() Hopefully I can get the vids soon. Last edited by Parker; 03-10-2008 at 11:30 PM. |

IWSTI Addict since: Mar 2006 Trader Rating: (7) | UPDATED: I've uploaded one vid that shows you how you can hear the turbo spool and the BPV when I shift. This is taken inside the car with the windows up. I don't have access to a decent video camera so this will have to do for now. Intake Vid Last edited by Parker; 03-10-2008 at 11:32 PM. |

IWSTI Addict since: Mar 2006 Trader Rating: (7) | i've only watched/heard one other car with I believe to be a k&n typhoon. of course it sounded louder but I think its because of the shorter ram instead of CAI. This ad is not endorsed by this member. Please register or login to hide this ad. |
