Im really interested in getting an AP but it doesn't look like I can if I keep the CAI on it. The maps specifically state that you can't use an aftermarket intake. I would only plan on going to stage 1 because im not a fan of aftermarket exhausts, especially ones that say they may not be legal for highway use!

I saw a thread in Exterior/Styling about cleaning the brake dust that is caked onto the rims. I did this the other day and its not as easy as it looks. Either my brake dust was incredibly caked on or the cleaner I used wasn't as good as the one the OP in that thread used. I used Turtle Wax F2 Performance Wheel Cleaner and you can see that it loosened most of it but for the most part, it was still quite dirty, especially the fronts. So I ended up cleaning it all by hand, again, and its much nicer to see what the wheels are supposed to look like.

Just a couple of tips:
-if you wash your car and can't stand drying it, use Mr. Clean's AutoDry. Works wonders!
-If you plan to do RainX or similar products to your windows, skip the interior anti-fog stuff. It just ends up being a bigger mess than you begun with. The exterior is very nice though!
-Leave your DCCD adjustment knob near the lower (back) part for accidental pressing of the DCCD button by passengers. Yes, I had a dumbass sit there and ask, "what is this?" while pressing the button as im turning left. Luckily it was near the rear and was able to complete the turn, which wasn't the case as I found on a drive 1 week after getting the car.

Im still looking for any and all comments regarding the intake vid. I'd like to get a real camera to shoot it but this is all I have for now.

UPDATE #2:

I've had tint on my car for some time now but never posted it up. I finally had a chance to wash the car and get out to take pics. This is just a straight wash...no wax, claybar, nothing.

The fronts are 50% and the rears are 25%. Huge jump, i know, but since the fronts are illegal under 70%, this was the only thing I could choose from.

Tint looks great. You take awesome pics, still using the D50? I just picked one up, getting used to it.

Keep up the work.

Springs/sways installed about 2 weeks ago:

Front

Rear

I overexposed a few so you could see the gap better and I also used a small reflector to light up the area around the springs.

I do like them but I may be rethinking them for some Prodrive springs. I haven't made this decision yet...

And on 3/8/08, I decided to go back to stock because I was going to take my struts in for warranty replacement due to rear strut clunking. This has yet to be done because I am in need of a set of front strut replacements because my current driver's side strut is fubar'd by my own mistake.

Im not quite sure if I want to pick up a divorced wastegate DP and pick up a used v2 AP and run stg. 2 or not. The idea is very tempting and if the deal is right I just may but as of this moment, I need to save up some more money and hopefully sell my Prodrive springs as I don't have much desire to put them back on. Nothing is wrong wtih them, I just don't want to mess with the suspension any more than I already did. Sway bars are plenty for me as a DD.

Still waiting on them pictures. And have you ever thought about de-badging the trunk, leaving just the Subaru logo and STi?
