Default MY05 Black - A Work in Progress

Here's a few pix from the last 15 months:

Props to my cameraman, my cousin, without whom a lot of these would never have been...

These are recent but not the most recent...I had a Canon S200 with max resolution of 2MPixel. I gave it to my sister a few days ago; the batteries were just not keeping charge for very long and it was frustrating.

My nephew, Vincent. The day after I got the car, I went over to my sister's house to show the kids. He got in it and bit the steering wheel - he was about 11 months old at the time. He so owns this car...

This pic confirms to about 90-97% positivity that I cannot go to a 275 width.

Barely any rubbing...i've heard it rub once when I was power-sliding out of a u-turn, just the slightest bit, and only on the rears. Also, there are some roads I "used" to frequent, but which I don't anymore because I know - at speed - my car will rub there.

As a precaution I rolled the rear fenders myself. Used a 1-1/8" x 5/8" drive socket and a long 1/2" drive ratchet. Slid the socket over the ratchet and used the tire as a fulcrum point. Then with a little perseverance and using the bisection method, I approximated a sweep, a curve on the 1/4" lip (read: sharp metal blade) behind the fender trim.

If you go to your car and run your finger along the top-most, inside edge of the rear fender, you'll know what I mean.

A couple of crappy cellphone pix from one of my midnight adventures with my cousin...I was curious about the light output from the lowbeams...

Standing up:

Kneeling:

My cousin, in the pix, also took his own shots. The bulbs are 6.5k K bulbs I ordered from xenondepot. Good prices and fast delivery. I was impressed with the bulbs so much I ordered a retrofit kit for my dad's truck. Now whenever he drives up, the light from the truck illuminates my room with sharp, clean shadows of the tree in front of my window, and the venetian blinds...I just notice these things...I know, I'm weird. =)

Got everything, drive out price 1693.86, at Discount Tire on 3-24-05. Included mounting, warranty, and all hardware. I discovered a curb on my way to work a few months after putting them on, and that cost me another $217 (new rim); its not terribly scratched up, but it looks bad. The way i see it, I have a full size spare rim, just need a new tire. I bought them on the precept of not wanting to damage the stockers, which are a bit on the pricey side.

Wow, and that is on 17's! What would you recommend for that rim, aka tire size, with no rubbing issues?
