Thanks very much for the comments guys!

Yeah I got pretty lucky with the tire. I was right next to the cement barrier on the highway and I'm sure it could have easily made me lose control and put me into the wall.

Oh and I'm dieing to clear my headlights but I'm too scared They've got that protective film on them. Anyone know if that stuff will melt in the oven?

I'm still working on the video. Google video denied it for some reason, Putfile said they weren't allowing any uploads, Zippy is just jerkin me around, and now I'm trying Streamload. If anyone knows of a better site to host these for free please let me know

luSTi: yeah I'm really looking forward to seeing your car run at the track. I bet that thing is a beast

Thanks again guys
Nate

^^ Thanks very much guys!

Here's a couple vids from the 1/8 mile track today. It was my first time with the STi. I got 4 runs in with my best being 8.291@83.016:

I was just kind of out there for the hell of it and didn't do any prep to the car whatsoever (like weight reduction, etc). It was a lot of fun though and I'll probably take it more serious next time I go. Here's the vids:

puckshaw-vs-Evo

LuSTi came out there too and I sent him links to his runs. I'm sure he'll post them up in his journal sometime.

Man this journal is struggling haha. Anyways, got some new rubber today:

The roommate smelling the goodness:

I'll probably wait until my springs come in and install those first. Let everything "settle" and then throw the tires on when I get my alignment. These things look huge next to the stockers

Well I needed to get my head off of my thesis defense for a little bit and decided to clear my headlights.

Thanks to Essteaeyee for being so helpful with my questions
I also painted my hellas black the other week. I thought they were attracting too much attention...
