IWSTI Addict since: Oct 2007 Trader Rating: (1) | Looks damn solid, i've heard any inlet pipe is a ***** so i wouldn't single out APS, but i have heard its a bit tougher than others... still a high quality piece and i wouldn't have gone w/ another brand if i were you. Its odd the oil filler cap is hitting the IC piping.... is there enough play in the piping to move it over if u need to add oil? is there a way to shim it to give yourself a little room? |

We basically go the entire manifold on, all fuel lines, coolant lines, electrical plugs all in. Getting the manifold one was a pain in the ass, but thats because the SZ49 has a 3" inlet, and getting it to match up perfectly along with not allowing the spacers and their gaskets to slid off can be tricky. Steve helped me get the rest of the intercooler piping on, and I ran all the vac lines for the Prodrive boost solenoid and the TiAL Bov. Basically as she sits now, we need to double check all the connections again, make sure everything is plugged in for start up, fill her up with oil and coolant, prime her, then start her up and make sure there are no leaks. After that, trim up the front bumper, install the Grillcraft lower piece, put the bumper back on, headlamps and grill. We have maybe 3 hours left. I just didn't want to stop working last night until that intercooler was FINISHED! BTW, because of Steve's $250+ EXTRA LARGE battery, its hard to move the intercooler pipe to the right to provide clearance for the oil cap! We will try and force it a lil more to the right today. See you at 5pm Steve! |
