IWSTI Addict since: Oct 2004 Trader Rating: (11) | does precision tuning do ecutek? i don't know what i'm going to do about my ecu having ecutek on it all tuned. i need a stock map...and would like ecutek off the ecu. but it would probably be easier if someone could just flash a stock map on there...except i would have to drive my ECU to the tuner lol. IWSTI Addict since: Feb 2006 Trader Rating: (15) | I have to post about the great experience that CVR Motorsports gave me. Although there was a mistake in shipping and the shipping company was to blame. I have to say that both Chris and Mark at CVR are great people and kept me in the loop with the status of the shipment. I got frustrated, and may of left a bad impression on how I am. I would like to send my deepest apologies to everyone at CVR for dealing with me in this time of rush for me. They stock great products and I would be happy to deal with them in the future. I highly recommend using them to anyone looking for parts. |

IWSTI Addict since: Jun 2005 Trader Rating: (29) | Alright heres the update for Steve and his STi. Yesterday Steve came on over my house so that Kiwi and I would start cracking at his install! Steve got his APS intercooler piping modified and got the flange welded for the TiAL BOV at Precision Tuning. I applied some VHT touch up paint so it will look the same. Steve, I highly suggest you get that wrap, maybe order it today with the spark plugs and 3" gasket you need. Kiwi came to my house around 6'ish. We pulled the TMIC off, and started on the intake manifold. I assisted Kiwi and as he ripped through Steve's car. So after sometime, we got the TMIC off, jacked the car up, removed both front tires, jacked up the rear of the car, removed downpipe to axle back (his diffusor is in the way of getting the muffler off), removed stock turbo, removed intake manifold, unistalled the TGV's from the intake manifold, removed stock up-pipe, removed front bumper, drained coolant, drained oil, changed oil filter, removed K&N short ram and other random things. By the time we were done, it was around 10pm ! Not bad for 4'ish hours eh?! Well, today Kiwi and I will put basically everything we can except all the FMIC piping prob. We will reserve Wed to button everything up, and install the rest of the intercooler piping. Steve still needs a limp map to get home, because his car won't start up with those 850cc injectors in there. Otherwise, his car is being pushed to the curb and off my property ahhahaha, jk! Here are pics of the mayhem, gotta give props to Kiwi with his uber skills, we would have never be able to get that far in so little time without him doing the removal! Enjoy! The begining!! ![]() Deadbolt SZ-49 - 3" inlet, IWG, Fatboy, Ceramic Red vs uber ghey stock VF39: ![]() Another pic of the new snail waiting to go in: ![]() The Kiwi hard at work, me holding the light!!! ![]() TiAL Black BOV: ![]() APS Turbo Inlet: ![]() A box of madness: ![]() Oh Noesss, whats happens? ![]() Can I has manifold?! ![]() The Natural Aspirated Beast!! |

IWSTI Addict since: Jun 2005 Trader Rating: (29) | ^Sure, $400 plus your aftermarket parts . Nah, Steve is using the stock lines and Chinky is using the TGV's for a core swap. |

IWSTI Addict since: Jun 2005 Trader Rating: (29) | ^I tech painted them ahhaha, he just left them at my house! From what I remember, the stock up-pipe looks like crap, with its build quality and not so smooth inner tubing. The up-pipe Steve got is slightly bigger, but the quality is def better and the inner tube is much much smoother. This ad is not endorsed by this member. Please register or login to hide this ad. |
