IWSTI Addict since: Oct 2007 Trader Rating: (1) | Not a clue, i just know i have heard many many bad things about Perrin products and their fitment in general, not just from the suby community... and APS is supposed to be top-of-the-line stuff.... Now, fitment w/ what you have is another question, i was just stating that if everything fits right and bla bla blah, i would choose APS over Perrin hands down |

IWSTI Addict since: Jun 2005 Trader Rating: (29) | APS DR-525 FMIC with the Stealth Black and Crinkle Red Finish APS 70mm CAI TiAL 50mm BOV in Red (or black if you want) They will def work with your other parts. The APS CAI will hook up without any problems to the Perrin turbo inlet. Also, you get the top of the line CAI with an awesome FMIC. Thats what I have been telling you since day one when you were looking for a FMIC. Thats why I trust only the companies that put the money and time into R&D and other companies that use these products for top quality builds. So I guess the plans with the other FMIC fell through huh? Trust me, you won't be disappointed with those parts I listed. |

IWSTI Addict since: Oct 2004 Trader Rating: (11) | well the biggest benefit is the air temperature. with a blow through (aka the maf in the cold side piping), the maf will be reading the true air degree as it ENTERS the throttle body about to mix with the fuel. this means it SHOULD be colder than the air coming into your intake since it already went through the intercooler etc...the colder the air, the better. second, the air is not turbulent as opposed to an intake, whether it be a big maf or an aps...it's good, clean, straight air. i was GOING to go this route if i kept my car, there's nothing bad about it at all..you just have to make sure your tuner knows what they're doing with a blow through setup...which honestly i'm not sure what is so different besides the maf being relocated...piping diameter is pretty much the same. |

IWSTI Addict since: Feb 2006 Trader Rating: (15) | well I assume then you have to somehow close off the MAF hole on the intake. Billy, where does it show the new Perrin stuff you say exists? Also, nothing like the Black stealth kit. |

IWSTI Addict since: Oct 2004 Trader Rating: (11) | perrins website, their cold air intake is already closed off, it's just normal piping. This ad is not endorsed by this member. Please register or login to hide this ad. |
