Default Re: Stargazer's WRB STI - picked up RCE springs

Thanks for the feedback, everyone--much appreciated!

Yesterday, I was on my own so I rode down to Point Roberts, WA (about 1 hour away) to pick up my next mod:

Installation is on Friday .

I took a lot of careful measurements today of the stock height so I could compare before and after. The wife/baby test will come later .

Wow your car is soo HAWT! Your pictures always come out amazing. I need to put on my GF210's soon! Do you know approximately how much the RCE's lowered your car in the front and rear?

Thanks! I think reducing the gap makes a big difference.

I carefully documented the "before" measurements taking pictures with a tape measure, etc, but I haven't had a chance to do the same for the "after" numbers yet. In the meantime, as a rough guess, I'd say between maybe 1"-1.5" in the front and .5"-1" in the rear. I'll post up the exact numbers later in the week.

those last shots are wwwaaaaayyyy to over saturated to the point where it doesn't look natural. I hope you like the springs because im considering taking mine back off and putting the stockers back on.

I'm not a professional photographer, never took photo classes or anything like that. I just take pictures for my own enjoyment and I post the ones I like . The majority of the processing from RAW to jpg is done through the automatic settings in the software I'm using (RAWshooter plus).

Is there another program you recommend?

never heard of it...I just use Photoshop and adjust using curves, levels, saturation and contrast settings. the blue to me is just too fake looking but if you like it, that is all that matters.

I appreciate the feedback, though. It makes me look at my own pictures through different eyes and I can learn from it.

I finally got my STI powered by NOS! I bought three bottles and it's running through the loose nut behind the wheel ....

Man, that stuff is potent! I chugged down one bottle and instantly got all light-headed--well, I also only had 3 hours of sleep last night .

Default Drilled new mounting holes in Rally Armor

After lowering the STI with RCE springs I noticed that the Rally Armor mud flaps scraped a lot more on speed bumps. I thought about getting the new "Rally Armor Limited" version that's more flexible, but I'm still undecided about the shiny look of the new ones.

So instead of cutting the flaps that I had, I just re-drilled new mounting holes lower so that I could raise them by 1.25". It was easy and quick and once I raised the rear wheels off the ground, I could access the screws with out having to remove the rims.

I probably could have gotten away with making them only 1" higher, but I already scraped the Rally Armor sometimes with the stock suspension, so I decided to give it extra clearance.

It's much better now because I don't have to hold my breath and wince every time I go over a bump or through a dip .

The next thing for me to do is re-aim the headlights back up because I've noticed that they're lower and don't go as far any more.

lol @ the NOS bottles

I planned to re-drill my R/A flaps as well, when I put JDM Pinks on. I was going to do 1", since I figure it's not dropping by an inch anyways I'll have to eyeball it I guess, and decide. Although, a quarter inch isn't much
