I went to the body shop yesterday for an estimate. The people that rear-ended me will be taking care of the deposit through my insurance.

I also got a Paintless Dent Removal guy's card from the body-shop for my king of door dings; I will be calling him today.

ALSO, I bought Fullerton's Prodrive springs since you stepped-up to the big boy suspension (Ohlin Flags). I can't wait to put them on

FINALLY going to finish up the 30K service.

I'll be tackling the rear dif, and tranny.

Should be cake. I'm going to use my Uncle's lift.

You figure out if you're going to use your Uncle's lift and tools for your springs?

I didn't ask him about the springs, but I don't see why he wouldn't. I don't even think he's used the lift yet

If u need help with the springs let me know. They are a PAIN the first time u attempt them. On another note, I hear you have a paint hook-up? Let me know if you do. I got a couple of items I need sprayed. Also, you know any decent places for a clutch install? I was going for EDO but I heard some shaddy things about them and now I am leaning towards garage tuning... Also need a flywheel resurfaced. PM me or text me if you do. Also, which company ru working for? We are in need of some good subs and iirc you are working for ur uncles HVAC comp?? If so, I can get you some gooooddd business lol.

Default Re: 2006 STI: Carbon wing/trunk; TEST/FLASH CONNECTER SWITCH!! Post #266

Well, today while attempting to flash my car, the "Test/Flash Connecter" came loose. I decided while the connecter was ****ed up I'd wire in a switch so it will make flashing MUCH easier. Flip the switch, flash away!

Warning: Patience required while soldering, upside down, on your back, and looking up towards the steering column while under the dash.

Took me about 30 minutes.

BIG thanks to Lackskill for the switch tech info!!!! Single Pole Single Throw.

The tools/hardware of choice:

Ready for surgery:

The arrows are there to better orientate yourself.
All soldered up:

In it's final resting place, ready for repeated flashes

I can claim no credit for the knowledge. I simply regurgitated information that I have picked up from here. Thanks for the props though.

Haha, you could have made one way easier. You can literally stick a switch in the pins lol. Thanks Wolfplayer!

Good job Garry...and all the pictures make me proud

I thought for some reason there was two wires coming into the test connector, there's only one? In other words, all your switch does is make/brake the connection?

I wasn't paying attention yesterday
