Bring it to Chewys this weekend. We can fix it. We have all the spare parts as well . Ill charge you 1/2 of what the dealer wants lol.

The AC system sounds like a *****! Have any of you guys replaced one? I mean, removing is one thing, but putting it back on, recharging, etc. is another.

We don't have the tools to recharge it, but we can certainly replace the compressor. Then you can just take it somewhere to get it charged up.

You can buy recharge kits and gauges easily. I did my pickup without a problem. I simply charged the system with the truck running and a digital thermometer in the vents. When it made temp., I stopped charging. Easy.

Though, with the STI, I'd likely go get it done at a shop. Its pretty cheap and takes about 30 minutes if you have no leaks.

Yeah, I don't like the re-charge kits, and it can get dangerous without you even knowing.

You work on that kind of stuff everyday right? I'm sure you feel more comfortable doing that kind of stuff than I.

Yeah I do that stuff daily. But, like I said, I would take my STI to a shop that has the proper tools. I couldn't give a rats pootatay about the Mall Crawler blowing its charge. The STI is a different story.
