SO... after all is said and done I'll finally get some pics of my finished stereo and the drop from the springs.

So I finally got around to finishing my stereo instal and taking pictures. So here is what I have so far. Car still needs to be cleaned and sorry about the photo skills... I can ski.. I cant take pictures!

I fixed some of the rattle by taking out the black backing to the seats. I have to stuff the shelfing with some stuffing or foam to get rid of the rattle. But it is pretty right now. I'll work on the sound of it tomorrow.. it needs some tweaking

The "wire" under the HU is a monster cable that goes to my iPod

yay it matches

Open..

ooh.. blurry... but you get the idea with the colors

Little custom work on the rear end to make it pretty

GF210's are on their way (on back order until early April)
Next in line is the V-Limited or Chargespeed CF Lip

It isnt mounted in the back of the seat. The seats are just made of foam with a thin black sheet of plastic trim in the trunk. I took the seats out and removed the 2 black metal supports and pulled the black plastic trim off. I then used the trim as a rough template on a piece of 1/2in MDG board.

After the MDF was rough cut I held it up to the opening of the trunk from inside the car and had someone hold it while i traced the "hole" from with in the trunk. Took about an hour to get everything cut and trimmed to fit perfect. drilled my mounting holes and painted it flat black. It is held on to both of the black supporting bars with 2 bolts and 4 hidden tie wraps that are behind the amp and the sub.

looks really good! i have an infinity amp also, not sure if its the same model and its on the back of the seat just like yours. Since my car didnt come with a back panel and you could see the foam of the rear seat my buddy made a custom board and covered it in black cloth that matches really well to hold up the amp.
Does you amp light up blue around the sides?? Just wondering cause mine does and i was wondering if all amps do that.

I also have infinity fronts and rears and i had my fronts in for 2 days with no rears speakers and thought it was loud, then when the rears came in i was like WHOA haha.

Nice setup and keep us updated. Cars looking good.

Oh IMO do the red light mod to match your head unit.

Default Tips and Tricks I have learned along the way.

The everything and anything Subaru info thread..
<a href="http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=533787">Unabomber's Manifesto</a>

Why I didnt get a Walboro fuel pump
I had looked into getting a pump for my car when I hit stage 2 and a Protune. I was on the fence and decided to do some research. Looks like someone did it for me. But usefull information on the pump and when it is NOT needed
<a href="http://www.iwsti.com/forums/showthread.php?t=41059">Walbro NOT needed for Stage 2</a>

GF210 Spring Install
I used these 2 threads:
<a href="http://iwsti.com/forums/showthread.php?t=11281&highlight=spring+install">S pring install 1</a>
<a href="http://www.iwsti.com/forums/showpost.php?p=514403&postcount=222">Spring install 2</a>

Also this thread to help deside what springs I wanted
<a href="http://www.iwsti.com/forums/showpost.php?p=151608&postcount=6">Nhluhr Spring Table</a>

Cheapest place I found GF210s 05 spec
<a href="https://cvrmotorsports.com/">cvrmotorsports.com</a>

Alignment info
Obviously an alignment is needed after installing springs, but I am a suspension noob and I searched for hours on iwsti.com for the answer to my question "When installing sways, do I need an alignment?" I didnt start a new thread because I didnt want to look like a moron and 5 minutes on NASIOC.com I came across this.
http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show...ways+alignment
No alignment needed... for those similar to me and just didnt know.. Quoted from the suspension master himself nhluhr

Very helpful info on chosing the correct wheel size
<a href="http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1115749">18" wheels vs acceleration</a>

DRL disable
.. used <a href="http://www.iwsti.com/forums/showpost.php?p=344152&postcount=19">this thread
</a>
No Touch Wheel Cleaning
Get a spray bottle of "Simple Green." Spray it on the calipers and the wheels just before you go into a touchless car wash and your wheels come out all clean. They could be touched up with a rag and some 409, but I dont bother because they are just going to be dirty again in a day or 2

HU/Stereo Install
cover the plastic trim pieces with a dry bath towel when removing/installing any HU pieces... I scratched mine the first time around and am still kinda pissed about it
<a href="http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=919560">Link:</a> to HU install instructions
<a href="http://www.velozt.com/html/stereo_index_in.html">Link:</a> to HU and door speaker install instructions

Trunk Rattle
If you remove the black sheet of plastic between the seats and trunk that reduces a lot of rattling from the sub. Another quick fix for the rear shelf underneith the back window.. get some poly fill pillow stuffing and jam it into all the holes under the shelf. It kills almost every trunk rattle on the inside. Once I figure out the trunk rattle from the outside I'll post again.

Mounting Amps
The seats are just made of foam with a thin black sheet of plastic trim in the trunk. I took the seats out and removed the 2 black metal supports and pulled the black plastic trim off. I then used the trim as a rough template on a piece of 1/2in MDF board.

Thanks, My amp doesnt light up around the sides, just a small blue power light and the "clip" light when I am pushing it hard !! Does your am have aftermarket neon lighting possibly? I have never seen an Infinity with light all around. I would have gond with the black fabric as well, but since it was in the trunk I figured why bother.. and went to cheap spray paint.

The Red lighting mod is an option I'll have to look into more. I was more anal about just getting the stereo installed the right way and stop the internal rattling from the sub.

This is the list for the stereo as of now:
Sony Mp3 Head Unit (I dont remember the model, I have had it for 2 years now though.)
Ipod 20G
Infinity Reference 6012si 6.5" Font Speakers
Street Wires 4 Guage Wiring Kit
Infinity Reference 611a mono amp
Rockford Fosgate Power Stage 1 12" Sub

I havent changed out the rear speakers yet, dont know if I am going to.
