Because the STI comes with high performance summer tires and you cant use them in the snow

Yeah, I am itching to get the seats in. They were shipped to my parents address and I am just waiting on my brackets to get here sometime next week or the week after. Ill see them in person for the first time on Sunday. Might start giving them a good cleaning job.

I got a chance to get the Evo Recaros out of the box today and check them out. They look much better in person than in the pictures. They look so much more supportive and quality built. The blue "inserts" is different than what I was expecting as well.

I am still waiting on my Wedge Engineering brackets to get here for the install. I took the drivers seat out of the box and set it up in the living room to check it out. Once I sat in it, i was in love. They are 100x more supportive than the STI seats. I am very satisfyed with the way that they fit me. I am 6'2 220lbs. I have an athletic build to me and a wide back and shoulders. I think if I went with just about any racing seat, they would have been snug. Since I dont track the car, I think these will be the perfect option for me.

I am super anxious to get them in the car! New wheels are in the works right now as well. I have a few options. I am waiting to see if I can get a set of Volk TE37. If that doesnt work out, I may be looking into some other options. I should have an answer within a week.

Stay tuned for seats pics

I have a local guy that wants them, but I am not ditching them until I get a new set. Things are up in the air about the TE37s. So time will tell what is going to happen.

If you are interested in the rims, you can have them if this guy falls through. Ill keep you posted.

Any pics of the evo seats in the STI? I've driven ever year STI except the 08 and you'll love the evo recaros. I daily drive my evo, 30k in one year and the seats have never bothered me wether it be long drives or sitting in traffic. They are great seats.

Its amazing how expensive they are, I went to the dealership just to see how much replacement seats where because I didn't believe my friend and they told me $4000ish for ONE seat. So about $8k+ for the fronts and another couple grand for the rear seats. The evo VIII seats are a little less.

Apparently if my evo was broken into and someone where to take my seats I'd get a check for $10k+ from insurance. Crazy I know.

I dont have any pics of them installed in my car as I am still waiting on brackets. These pics are from Pelegs car. I believe they are the same year seats, but installed in an 04 STI.
