I just read today that the kid I swapped trunks with may have set a blaze to his car. Kind of crappy if that is the case. But I guess he was in a lot of debt. There is a thread on Nasioc about it.

Why is he an idiot cause of the fire or those pics on his thread whatever thats about..... Fires happen.. you will be surprised on how many car fires we see that are really engine or electrical related fires not insurance scams.. That's why I have a fire extinguisher in my STI you never know.. Funny did you read that post how many guys were like we should call the insurance company blah blah..... How do people do that "Snitch and RAT" Thats one of the first lessons I learned from my DAD dont Snitch be your own man and worry about your own business not others... I dont know how people sleep at night knowing they are little RAT Bit**es..

That fire pic really hit home with me. I wired up a boost-reference water spray switch and it stopped working after a year. I bought a new switch and installed it Sunday- it was working fine, then while driving around to set the pressure- it just stopped working! I used a DVM and found I had an intermittent connection.
I have a switch to turn this system off, so I figured I'd leave it off until I had time to rewire everything. Well, Monday morning on the way to work I started to get a faint burnt electrical smell in the cabin. Knowing that this circuit was tapped off the foglights, I immediately turned them off and it went away.

Needless to say, I was in complete panic mode! Yes, fires DO happen- it could've happened to me. I never would have thought this. Not saying thats not a scam but yeah, **** happens.
I ripped everything out yesterday and plan to redo it to J standard code

Just dropped off the Azenis to get mounted and balanced this morning. Weather looks good for Sunday for a header and front lip install. I hope Monday works out ok to get any odds and ends taken care of.

Things are looking good so far to have everything on the car before April 26th. As long as I dont have any leaking issues I should be good for the tune. Then Watkins Glen opening day on the 27 with the Buffalo Scooby club.

I am dying to get my summer rims and tires on. I am tired of squirmy tires! I want traction and stiff sidewalls damn it!

The Azenis 615s are on. First impression, much more grip than my Toyo Proxes 4 and much better turn in. I can only assume that they will get better as I break them in.

Also the Falkens are 225/40 18 and are only 0.13in larger in diameter than the stock RE070s and 0.3 inches larger in overall circumference. This is much better than the Toyos which were 0.43in larger in diameter and 1.3in larger in circumference than the stock RE070s. This time around there isnt much of a difference in acceleration, which means I am much happier with these tires.

Overall I am much happier now with my summer tire choice so far and look forward to seeing what these can do. I am sure they will far exceed my abilities and expectations on the road, but we shall see.

Right to Left, Glacier Grip II, Toyo Proxes 4, Falken Azenis 615

The new wheel look with lugs and center caps.

These pics are a little lousy right now. The sun was going down and the car is filthy. But you can see how the new look is going. V-Limited replica is mounted, Blue Batmobile overlays on the front turn signals and obviously the rims and tires. I will def get some more pics when the car is cleaned up and waxed. Hell I still have my winter wipers on

Headers and Up Pipe go in tomorrow!!

Those rims look outstanding on your car and those tires seem to be the choice of many people (due to bfb?).

Posts like yours make me want rims that much more badly...
