I was looking through my parts last night and was looking at my lugs for the summer wheels. Man they got beat to hell this last summer. All chipped and nasty looking. I suppose that is was I get for buying $30 Gorilla lugs though.

So, I went looking for new lugs and researching. I wanted a set of these, but wasnt going to blow $200 on a set:

Then I started looking into Rays and so on. Then I looked up Mcgards and found that they didnt make blue lugs, but they had the chrome lugs with blue caps, similer to the STI lugs. So I picked up a set! Some bling for the shoes! Now I need to do something about my center caps.

I just picked up a set of STI Stickers for my Rota center caps. I knew the stickers were too small to cover the whole cap and new that ahead of time. I thought about painting the caps different colors. I though maybe blue, CGM, pink or just black to make up for this.

The stickers are CF Vinyl with the STI logo on top.

I decided to take the cheap route and paint the center caps black and just put the CF Sticker on top. I used my left over black paint from my lip and front stars badge. I like the way they turned out.

Picked up the new lugs from the post office. I was impressed with the way they were packaged. Not like my Gorilla lugs that came in a bag and chipped already. The Mcgards had rubber caps on all the blue caps and were wrapped in bubble wrap. Included the key and valve stems.

Only thing I see as being an issue is the key. It seems super light. Hope it wont break easily.

Default Re: -Four's '06 CGM (Protune Street Tune Scheduled for April 26th)

Really quick update.

Talked to Mike at Innovative Tuning in Buffalo (Member on IWSTI: Inn-Tune). He advised me that I do not need my Prodrive boost solenoid on my set up and might have some issues with it in the changing weather since my car is a DD and I live in Western NY. So I decided to sell it. (Edit: Prodrive BCS Sold in about 10 minutes on Nasioc)

Protune/Street tune is scheduled for Saturday April 26th. The day before Watkins Glen opens and the Buffalo Scooby Meet. Hope to see you Rochester/Buffalo area people there. (That means you ACHAHockey and 300hp owen!!)

Tires have also been ordered and will be here sometime this week. Now just pray for some warmer weather on the weekends so I can get my parts on!

I really couldnt say either way. I went with the BCS from a couple of guys on here. I know it doesnt really net you anything as far as power, but might bring boost on a few RPM earlier. I dont think I am really in a position to argue with Mike though since I have never tuned a car before.

Maybe the weather really does have an effect around here. I would imagine our weather would be a little more severe than in CA. Lows in the negatives and highs as far as 100+

I cant do them right now. Just dont have the funds. We'll see how the tune goes and how I feel about the car. If I feel like I need more down the road, I may consider them.
