Well heres an update:

Got my SMC Meth Injection kit rebuilt by SMC, and had them mount it all up on the Spec-C 12L Intercooler Tank that is now in the trunk. Everything works fine......the spray light on the SMC Controller is a bight dim *can't really see it*, so I will call them up and check out the problem. Loaded in the TopSpeed Meth Map.....and took her for a spin. Wow Wow Wee Wow Wow! I def missed the power......EGT's were below 16's, more like the 14's, maybe 15's. Boost was were it should be...high. AFR was in the 11's, can't remember. Anyone know what I should be looking for, I just want to know that everything is good and back to kosher. I have the Tari software, so I can datalog somethings....any suggestions? I guess monitor Knock and stuff or?

Wow, enough updates today??? NOPE!

Heres the latest scoop:

So last night I went to install my Spec-C 12L Intercooler tank, with my freshly rebuilt SMC Meth Kit and had it installed with the Spec-C Tank. SMC was gracious to rebuild my meth kit for free, and for $90 did the conversion for the Spec-C Tank. Well, everything hooked up perfectly, system was turned on, press the test button, and I can hardly see the Spray light glow orange...hmmm weird.....but you can def feel that at 3,000rpm it dipped due to some meth shooting in there. So, I loaded in my TopSpeed Meth Map....and took her for a spin...wow, she is faster than I remembered....I dunno what, but she really moves. I can barely see the spray light hit when the SMC Meth Kit sprays.....used to be really bright. So today, I called up Steve over at SMC, and he said the first thing to check was the ground coming off the pump in the trunk, make sure its nice and clean. Checked it, even used some sandpaper and roughed up the metal, connected it back up.....still the light is really really dim. Called him up again, he said alright, well try grounding the green wire by the controller to see if that jumps the ground to see if its the controller's problem with the ground. Did that with some Craftsman test light.....since I didn't have anything else I could use...and then click click......I get a check engine light, and cruise light starts flashing, and the SMC controller is NOT LIGHTING UP!!!!!!!!!!!! So I call up Steve again over at SMC. Basically there is a fuse that is in the circuit board of the controller.....well looks like somehow I blew that fuse, which basically makes the controller inoperable. He said no problem, he is going to priority mail me a new controller, and when it comes to me, send him my original one......with no fees! He also said, that the problem with the Spray light could of been on the controller, and with me fiddling with it to get a another ground just pushed it to just get a new controller. I must say, that is def an A+ Business. If you want the best customer service, and help with a problem, and eventhough I screwed up the controller, they took care of me. SMC is very focused on their customers, and their products.....and to priority mail me a new controller at no cost, before recieving mine is outstanding.

So here we go without Meth once again......new controller should come in by Monday, Tuesday...he shipped it out today!!!!!!! If you have any questions about Meth Injection and want to get a kit....call them up and tell them I sent you....they are more than happy to spend as much time need to answer questions, or troubleshoot. I can't wait to get things working again!

Damn Chris! Finally got to see the pics of the new body kit. Looking good man. Yeah, some new 18's would fit nicely under those fenders. But power over looks is a good choice considering we are in the early stages of winter.

Hope to meet up with you guys again soon before the holiday rush is in full swing.

While I was there, he was rebuilding a 1998 Forester engine...which I helped him with. Anyways.....pics will be up shortly once I get home for lunch. The GT-Spec stuff is really nice, strong, and holds things in place! Def feel it in the turns. Pics to come soon...hopefully my coilovers will come this week! *Crosses fingers*.

Heres an update!

Thats to Nutmegman, I got the GTSpec Rear T braces, Rear Diff Mount, and the Front Lower Tie Brace. Went over to Kiwi Ian's house and used his lift...yup, he has a lift in his 2 car garage "Shed" in the back yard. These are really quality pieces....def nice. Heres a pic of them before installation:

Here is the front lower tie brace installed. It was pretty easy, just unbolt the old stocker, line this up, and loosen the two bolts on the sides and tighten everything up. I did need the help of Ian with a pry bar to move the front a bit to line up to the holes in this brace...yah its pretty stiff!

I then installed the rear T Braces, they are easy, just make sure you mark up the alignment marks so you know where to have the alignment bolt (for the Toe) when you bolt everything back in. You may need to use some force here to loosen the bolts....being that they are suspension bolts that have some miles on them . Here are the left and then the right T Braces. Btw, you don't need the Whiteline rear subframe bolts after installing these....they include them !

Next up was the rear diff mount.....very nice, solid. Basically if you buy this, you don't need that kit from TiC for the rear diff klunk killer. This was the easiest thing to put on.....just unplug the rear diff wire, and unscrew the sensor and the old rear diff mount will slide right out with no problems, use a nice long flat head screwdriver to pry the diff mount with the holes so it lines up all nice.

Here is how the rear looks....yah the attack of BLUE has begun

All in all, the rear end is def tigher, it won't want to swing out when you take the turns, or when you take the turns and let off the gas....that lil jolt. The front end seems to be a bit tighter, but the car feels more stable......soon to come...Cusco Zero 2E Coilovers with the almighty E-Con controller! That should come in on Friday!

Heres Kiwi Ian working on a Forester engine completing a complete rebuild, after parts washing all the internals, and replacing about most of everything! He just finished up the head gaskets, putting on the rest of the outside bolt ons. Yah....he builds engines too, this is his 5th one he has done for a local shop that needed his help cause of their workload! So if you want some upgraded rods/pistons/etc, among turbo upgrades, we do all of those!

Heres my car on the lift in the "Shed"

And sitting right next my baby is a Porsche 968, Kiwi is working on it to get it running again where the owner can run it everyday...its been sitting in the owner's driveway for years....nice car...Ian used to work for a Porsche/Land Rover Dealership, also worked at a performance Porsche shop too.

Yah I went to a store, and snuck around the side to take this retarded pic.....man I need to get my own digital camera! Stupid 3.2 megapixel .

Coilovers weighing at 82lbs are coming in this Friday along with the E-Con.....they should get installed prob the following week. Should get interesting to see how they make the car handle and look. This Friday, Steve and I are installing the Limited Edition Rally Armor mudflaps, and swapping out my gold bbs rims for the Emotions with the Michellin Winter tires.!

Whats the update on my turbo?!

Coilovers 82lbs? What did you get the lead version.....lol.
The Emotions & Coilovers are gonna transform your car into WICKEDNESS!

Well, the turbo is currently sitting in a box, in my garage.....I have not had time to take it to the UPS store. I know your in no huge hurry.....so I have been procrastinating a bit. I'll get it out b/f the end of the week.

Not so sure about the mud flaps with the road racing setup.......

Well, 82lbs was the shipping weight that the guy who I bought it from said. Thats including all the packaging, wrap, box, etc. Mudflaps are only going to be on the car during the winter months....during the summer, they ocme off!!

No prob on the turbo...take as much time as you need....can you do me a favor...just snap some pics before you send it out...for my journal....so everyone can see the transformation from its current state to the mod'ed one. Let me know when your ready for everything else. Congrats again on your beast....cough you owe me a ride cough cough.

Be careful with the rally armor mudflaps. They do their job, but they say their supposed to flex with bumps and all, but they really dont. I had em on my WRX for about two winters, everything was fine. But the last time I took em off for spring, yeah they kinda messed with my fender lining and I had to use silicone to get the fender lining to stay.
Good luck. Are the Emotions 18x8 or 17x8??
