Wondering what I should get as my next mod. Hmm about $300 limit. Saving for an apartment. Leaning towards tinting.....So heres the list:

1. 35% Tint all around with the strip on the front windshield and installation of rear tail/brake light tinting: $210'ish

2. Cusco Engine/Tranny Mounts: $250 + Kartboy Crossmember bushings: $30 = $280 Total

3. GT-Spec Anti-Lift Kit: $170 + AutoSpeed Dead Pedal: $40 = $210

4. GT-Spec B-Shape Interior Brace (Goes in the floor area in the rear seating): 158.00 + Function7 Billet Pitch Control Mount: $105.49 = 263.49

Car is amazing Chris, simply amazing.
I would recommend out of all those mods the tint or the bushings. Those will probably net you the greatest pleasure, and immediate satisfaction. Tint, is key on sunny days, and made a huge difference in the comfort of my Black Legacy GT on hot days. There is also the cool factor which I am not to vain to admit I love...

If you do not have the engine/tranny mounts already, the I would recommend these. You will have more NVH into the car, but you will be use to it in about a day. The way these make the car feel are hard to describe. A connection with the engine, a more direct feel of acceleration and control are what is achieved through these. I had these in both my RS's and they changed the cars personality to the aggressive side. Very nice mod. I may do these to the STI, if the wife does not mind.

I have no experience with the anti lift kit, but I would wager the interior bracing would be hard to notice. The STI is rather stiff from the factory and gains in this area seem to be limited to the 9.5/10ths driving. If you only have to spend 300 bucks, why not get something that you can enjoy all the time.

just my 2 cents

Yah, I was thinking either the Tint or the Cusco mounts. The mounts are awesome, I have a friend of mine, (Al) and he loves his mounts, said he really felt a diff and would def recommend the Cusco mounts. Prob go for the tint maybe now since its hot as a mother out there.

Chris how about getting both???

Might as well, just tell Staples to help you out a bit.

Do the tints if you can for now and next month do the mounts. And yes the mounts make a difference, huge difference.

Update:

Lee Berbs tinted my car Sunday and man did he do a great job. Basically had 35% all around with a 35% strip of tint on the front windshield. Also had him install the HotSubarus.com rear tail light overlays (Smoke) and the third brake light overlay (Smoke). The car looks wayyy better than just having the windows untinted. Lee does an awesome job, more than what you would expect, he takes it up another notch. If he doesn't like how it comes out he will rip it off and totally redo it...he is that anal..so you have NO WORRIES on his work, plus it has a lifetime warranty!!!! I believe 1 free Redo with no questions asked. Check him out at azpinstalls.com and then click on Leeberbs Tint. His prices are really good compared to the competitors! Pics to come soon, bro-in-law fried the memory card on the digi camera!

Another Update: Figured that I should have some sort of mods to install for this Sunday's install meet at Billy's dealership. I still have the Whiteline front Solid Endlinks to install. I also ordered the TiC 6MT Pivot Bushings coming in along with the Kartboy Crossmember bushings. Should make things feel a lil better!

Also!!! I have my Lotek 3 gauge a-pillar pod. They left the bottom slot at 52mm for my AEM Wideband gauge, and drilled out the two upper slots for the future 60mm Defi gauges! I just have to pick up the passenger side A-pillar from a dealership and send them to William to get wrapped in CF! Should come out really nice. Whiteline Adjustable Spherical Ball Bearing Endlinks (F&R) will be for sale once I get the front ones off after the install meet this Sunday.

Want to buy the F&R as a set buddy?! If not since you already have the Perrin Rears (I believe), all I would need is someone to buy the rears!

Oh, btw, something is in the works...something really sweet (there is never an end for the quest of more powa!), AL BE QUIET! JAKE AND BOTH STEVES TOO! And anyone else I told ahha.
