i just got a killer heat blanket/wrap on my dp finally (turbo is wrapped) and it murdered the heat in my engine bay. my cold pipe is actually cold, even after 45 minutes of sitting in traffic. the problem is the damn intake manifold is still hot. phenolic spacers, heat coating on the IM,wrapped dp/turbo and heatsheild would be the best bet IMO. gold foil around the IC piping over the turbo would be helpful to i'm sure. idk, this is just my 2 cents. i've been lookin at cooling alot lately. i lost 10whp due to heat during my tune...

Thanks guys!

Renee.....WOWWW, man those came out sweet! I can't freaking wait till you get the rest of them up!!! Woww.....btw, thanks again for taking pics of my car and having the balls to lay on the ground as I flew past you! Also, thanks again for the STi Frat shirt!

Munky - Yah, what I plan on doing is wrapping the APS 70mm CAI with that wrap, then ontop of it with the gold foil. I want to see how that comes out, if I like it I will continue with that on my IC piping. It should basically retain the temperature inside, and reflect all the heat on the outside which should def do the trick, we shall see!

^After the turbo is in and some of the exterior work is completed. Wheels will be right after that, and then I tackle the interior.

Update on the STi:

Thanks to Wolfplayer for the list, my T-bolt clamps came in today. They def look beefy, and are most def better than the stock ones that came with my APS DR-725 FMIC. I just need one more thing before the FMIC gets installed.
