daaaaaamn you got your work cut out for you on cleaning it 3 cars ftw! i got 3 myself. 91 legend (nice, but beater),00 740i sport (pimp ****),and of course my ugly/slow 04 STi....VVV
yeah i had something kind of similar with my real jdm rear aprons with them back in the day. before that i bought 97% of all my parts thru them, and even got tuned there when mike was still there. they never gave me a track date, never called, and wheren;t supposed to take money until they where in the states. all i know is one day i had them at my door (about 4 weeks later, but that was what they told me it'd be) without ever hearing from them after they got my CC info. once all the "new guys" started coming in and mike left i never dealt with them again. they aren't the worst vendor by any means, but they sure as hell aren;t as good as they used to be. especially since the move to socal. my brother tried to deal with them to and had some issues with the sales dudes.

Update on the Seibon CF Vortex Generator purchased from Gruppe-S on November 15, 2007.

It took 4 weeks for it to be delievered to my house. First off, the reason why I ordered it was because they had a "special" for $235 shipped for the Seibon CF Vortex Generator for the roof. I was like NICE, ordering it now. They told me to order quickly because they only had 1 left. So i ordered it up. Well, the 1 they had left was "damaged". Fine, have Seibon drop ship me one? They said not a problem and would have it drop shipped the following week. Well, I call the next week and they never drop shipped it from Seibon, thats what really pissed me off. Then they told me that they will be getting a delievery from Seibon and it should be in the packages by the end of the week. It never came until the next week, and they got all their orders in, except my Vortex Generator. They finally got on later on and shipped it to me, but never called to give me the tracking info. I called to get the tracking info, and waited another week for it to arrive. I asked them to double check it to make sure before it shipped out that it wasn't damaged and was the correct part. I got the part thinking it will automatically fit correct since it was checked " ", applied the double sided tape, got it ready to mount, and then what do you know, its not long enough to fit on my roof and wrap around the rear. I call them last Friday and talked to Kyong about it. He said not a problem, snap some digital pics and e-mail them to him to fwd to Seibon for a replacement. I call Monday (17th Dec) to see what happened, and he said that he will check to see what they were going to do. Kyong calls me back saying that Seibon will replace the CF Vortex Generator but needs me to ship the messed up that 4 weeks to come to my house back to them with a UPS Pick (no charge for me sending it back). The only problem is that I ditched the box thinking I wouldn't need it since it should have been checked. I asked Kyong to have it drop shipped from Seibon to my house for the replacement. Once I got the new, verified it fits and is not damaged, I would use that box to package the messed up on and return ship to Seibon (again no charge to me). Kyong said not a problem, he will make the arrangements. I said I will await your phone call, if you don't call me back by Tuesday (remember I am talking to him about all this on Monday the 17th), I will call you up about the status on Wednesday. I didn't hear from them, and called them up today, basically gave them an extra day to process.

Now, here is where we are TODAY. I call up today asking if they have a tracking number for the one they going to drop ship from Seibon as a replacement. Mike was very good with the service in trying to find out what is happening. Apparently, Kyong is on vacation (I was never told by Kyong on Monday that he will be on vacation, so how can he call me back?? Hmmm). I was very shocked, Mike said he will give me a call back and see what the whole story is and what the deal with Seibon drop shipping me a new one. Mike does what he says and calls me back, but with bad news. Apparently AGAIN there was a miscommunication and Seibon never sent me a new replacement, they want me to send the messed up one, and once they recieve it, they will measure it out, and make sure the new one isn't the same. Basically checking to see if it was a bad batch from their mold. I told Mike I don't have a box long enough to ship it, and that I was promised it was going to be drop shipped from Seibon with a replacement, and once I got that and verified it fit and wasn't damaged I would send the messed up one back. Well Mike says the only way it can happen is if UPS picks up the messed up on first and ships it to Seibon. So now I have to get a box and package up the messed up one, and have UPS pick it up tomorow. The point is I was promised once again by Gruppe-S, and it was all messed up due to "miscommunication". So now, I have to wait to have my messed up Vortex Generator shipped via UPS GROUND (During the holiday may I add), which will take ATLEAST a week to get to Seibon, then more time for the replacement to get to my house. I thanked Mike for his help, and said sure I will find a box somewhere and package this up for tomorrow, I also asked him to have his boss give me a call ASAP.

Eddy the manager at Gruppe-S calls me back, apologizing for the mess. I explain my story and state that I will probably never order again from Gruppe-S because of this stress and false promises. I understand that it isn't totally Gruppe-S's fault, and Seibon really messed big on this one, but when employees from Gruppe-S promise something, and then say ahh no sorry can't do that, it was all miscommunication on our part, thats really messed up. Eddy again apologizes for all this, and says he plans to make it up to me. What he plans to do is have Seibon get the part ready, and ship the new CF Vortex Generator (for the roof) out tomorow, and also send out a "care" package for my stress with dealing with Gruppe-S and all this "miscommunication", and Seibon messing up. I said that Gruppe-S really needs to make this up if they want to even keep me as a customer. Honestly, false promises is what makes me not trust a company anymore. So we shall see what happens, if Gruppe-S makes up for all of this, then I will continue to be a customer to them, its all in their hands now.

Well if it all works out and they make up for all this, Steve, you may still be able to trust them to order the Clutch and Flywheel.

this sounds to me like a typical seibon issue and gruppe is caught in the middle.

Update on the WRX:

Cleaned out the MAF Sensor with CRC MAF Cleaner, she runs MUCH better now, that sensor was clumped with dirt. I also replaced the top portion of the coolant tank with a newer piece thanks to Kiwi. Installed the battery tie down with J-hooks. Cleaned all the interior plastic trim, etc. Cleaned the interior carpet/seats with my cleaning chemicals and rotorary brush, also did the floor mats as well. I threw in a air freshner to get a nice smell in there. She runs great now, drove 22 miles and the gas gauge hardly moved! The shift knob is bulky, not really liking it, eventually change it out. Still have to detail the engine bay and the exterior when the weather is nicer. I was thinking of putting the STi BPV on her, wonder if it will make a "difference" or just make the engine bay look nicer . Oh I also found that it has the subwoofer bass box under the passenger seat, I had the radio on, but didn't feel any sound coming out, I have to check that out one day.

Updates!!!

WRX:
She is running very well! I drove her all this weekend, had a lil less than 1/4 tank of gas left, and had 265 miles before even hitting the Fuel light!! Thats with flooring the car a bunch of times as well! The suspension is crap, I plan to upgrade the suspension a lil, springs/top hats, sways/endlinks should do the trick. Eventually I will get new rotors/pads since they will need to be replaced sometime in the summer. Tires will be upgraded to newer all-season since they will need to be replaced as well. I also plan on getting the full TiC shifter setup and a new shift knob to help in DD (Don't know which shift knob???????). That with the rear clunk killer should be good for me. Any other parts, well they will either come off the STi or if I find a really really good deal, otherwise I will not mod the crap out of this like the STi.

STi:
After driving the WRX, I had to move the STi for a detailing job me and Steve had. Pressing the clutch in was like stepping on the brakes!!! I couldn't believe the amount of difference in feel of a stock WRX clutch and the STi ACT Street clutch!
I got some really nice gifts during Christmas for the STi. Steve (MacSTi) got me the Cusco Master Cylinder brake stopper, that should help with the braking which will be an added plus at the track. My awesome g/f got me a bunch of stuff, aka shirts, etc, but she got me:
FP SS Oil Feed line for the SZ55, she wanted to get something she could afford the for the turbo setup!!!!
ZeroSports Thermostat!
GT-Spec Anti-Lift Kit!
2 BestMotoring DVD's, one containing the Bugeye STi battle vs the Evo!!!

I was really shocked and happy with all the gifts she got me, a g/f getting me actual car parts, wow!

My sister/her husband got me a 21 gallon 5hp air compressor, along with the air tools she got me on my b-day, I am in business!! Finally I get to break the bolts with an air gun vs a freaking rachet and busting my knuckles/elbows! I will take pics of all these great things later today.

Later in Jan I will order some parts for the SZ55 setup. I need to eventually get that thing installed!!!!! Pics to come later today!
